Legacy Sweep G2 to Win FISSURE Playground 3

Legacy became the champions of FISSURE Playground 3 after defeating G2 Esports 3–0 in the grand final in Suzhou. The Brazilian team completed the tournament with a confident performance and collected the biggest title in the organisation’s recent history.

Legacy controlled all three maps of the final, denying G2 an opportunity to extend the series. Bruno «latto» Rebelatto was recognised as the tournament’s most valuable player following his consistent individual performances.

NRG Stun MOUZ at StarSeries Fall 2026

NRG produced one of the week’s biggest surprises by defeating MOUZ 2–1 in the opening round of StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026.

The North American roster won its own Cache pick before MOUZ levelled the series on Inferno. NRG then closed the deciding map and advanced in the upper bracket, while MOUZ were forced into an early elimination match.

The result also provided NRG with a significant ranking boost and demonstrated that the team could compete against one of the strongest lineups in professional Counter-Strike.

Aurora Defeat NAVI in Barcelona

Aurora Gaming added another upset to the opening day of StarSeries Fall by beating Natus Vincere. The renewed Aurora lineup took advantage of NAVI’s inconsistent performance and secured an important victory in the double-elimination bracket.

The defeat increased the pressure on NAVI, who entered the tournament looking to stabilise their results after an uneven period. Aurora, meanwhile, moved closer to the playoffs and showed the potential of their updated roster.

StarSeries Fall runs in Barcelona from September 17 to 20, with eight teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool. The event uses a double-elimination format before its best-of-five grand final.

Gen.G Win the 2026 LCK Championship

Gen.G defeated Hanwha Life Esports 3–1 in the LCK grand final to secure the 2026 South Korean championship. The result gave the organisation consecutive domestic titles and confirmed its position among the leading League of Legends teams.

The victory also strengthened Gen.G’s status ahead of the season’s main international competition. South Korea is once again expected to be one of the strongest regions at the League of Legends World Championship.

Top Esports Qualify for Worlds 2026

Top Esports secured China’s third place at Worlds 2026 after defeating Invictus Gaming 3–1 in the upper-bracket final of the LPL Regional Finals.

Invictus Gaming won the opening map, but TES responded with three consecutive victories. Creme, Tian, ZUIAN and JackeyLove all delivered important performances during the comeback.

Top Esports joined Anyone’s Legend and Bilibili Gaming among the confirmed LPL representatives. The final Chinese qualification place remained available to the teams competing in the lower section of the regional bracket.

WSCI Groups Reportedly Finalised

The expected group stage draw for the inaugural World Star Challengers Invitational was revealed this week. The new League of Legends competition will bring together 16 Tier 2 teams from China, South Korea, EMEA, the Americas and Asian regional leagues.

The participants will be divided into four groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage. The tournament is scheduled to run from September 20 to October 2.

Created by Riot Games and TJ Sports, the WSCI is intended to provide academy and regional teams with regular international esports competition.

HObbit Returns to PARIVISION

PARIVISION returned Abay «HObbit» Khassenov to its starting CS2 lineup and moved Vyacheslav «Slaxejezzz» Vinokurov to the bench.

HObbit initially joined the organisation in June but was replaced by FL1T at the end of July. His return gives PARIVISION another experienced player as the team attempts to improve its results during the final part of the season.

Slaxejezzz had played for the team since June. During that period, PARIVISION finished second at XSE Pro League 2026 and placed ninth–12th at FISSURE Playground 3.

Shanghai Confirmed for the Second CS2 Major of 2027

Perfect World confirmed that Shanghai will host the second Counter-Strike 2 Major of 2027. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 22 to December 12 and will feature 32 teams competing for a $1.25 million prize pool.

It will be Perfect World’s second Counter-Strike Major following the 2024 event in Shanghai. The announcement reflects China’s growing importance within the global esports market and adds another major destination to the international esports tournament calendar.

Overwatch World Cup Records Its Biggest Audience in Eight Years

The Overwatch World Cup 2026 generated the game’s highest esports audience peak in more than eight years. The grand final between South Korea and Saudi Arabia attracted approximately 401,000 concurrent viewers.

The result represents an important recovery for Overwatch esports. Strong national-team storylines, community broadcasts and renewed interest in the game helped the tournament reach an audience not seen since the early years of the Overwatch League.
