MIBR VALORANT Teams Up with 1xBet as Pioneering Betting Partner in Riot’s Initiative

In a groundbreaking move within the esports realm, Brazilian esports powerhouse MIBR has announced an official partnership with the betting company 1xBet, becoming the inaugural organization in the global ecosystem of Riot Games to secure such an agreement. This alliance, which centers around MIBR’s VALORANT roster, marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing expansion and reflects Riot Games’ recent policy changes regarding betting partnerships.

Riot Games opened avenues for betting sponsorships in June of last year, paving the way for teams in VALORANT and League of Legends to explore such collaborations across both the Americas and EMEA regions. MIBR’s successful navigation through the extensive compliance process required for this approval highlights the organization’s dedication to maintaining competitive integrity and its robust operational structure.

Raphael Castanheira, MIBR’s Director of Marketing and Partnerships, noted that being the first to attain this endorsement speaks volumes about the organization’s governance and approach. He emphasized that MIBR’s meticulous preparation played a crucial role in streamlining the approval process, setting a precedent within the esports industry.

The partnership allows for the full integration of 1xBet’s branding within MIBR’s VALORANT team, further expanding an already flourishing collaboration that originated in 2022 with their Counter-Strike team. This relationship has evolved over time, with recent expansions incorporating MIBR Rap Clube’s content creators and now embracing the VALORANT roster as a key segment of their partnership.

To further bolster this relationship, MIBR has enlisted the talents of streamer and former VALORANT Champions victor Gustavo «Sacy» Ross as an ambassador. His involvement serves to amplify the partnership and enhance engagement within the community.

Both MIBR and 1xBet aim to cultivate a vibrant fan experience while also increasing the visibility of MIBR’s brand on the global stage and boosting interest in VALORANT, particularly throughout Latin America. Simon Westbury, a Strategic Advisor at 1xBet, expressed excitement about this landmark partnership, highlighting MIBR’s prominence in the LATAM region as a valuable asset in their shared aspirations to elevate VALORANT’s presence.

As MIBR progresses towards the end of the year, it remains committed to reinforcing its governance models and launching an array of initiatives that spotlight Sacy and its rosters across CS2, VALORANT, and the Rap Clube. The organization has stressed that all planned activities will adhere to Riot Games’ guidelines on competitive integrity and responsible communication.

For 1xBet, this partnership is part of a broader strategy to deepen their footprint in the esports sector. 2025 has already seen the online gambling company welcoming prominent South American CS2 teams like Bestia and 9z Team, alongside their ongoing partnerships with Aurora Gaming and The MongolZ, showcasing their commitment to the rapidly evolving world of competitive gaming.
