In Dune Awakening, there are various methods to source water, but one of the most dependable in the early game is the Blood Purifier. This facility transforms the blood of defeated foes into drinkable water, rendering it a crucial asset for your base.
How to Unlock and Build the Blood Purifier in Dune Awakening
The Blood Purifier becomes available once you invest research points in the Journey: Blood from Water section, located in the fourth tab. Prior to unlocking the Blood Purifier, you must complete all prerequisites, including obtaining the Exsanguination kit, which allows you to extract blood from fallen enemies.
After advancing through the tutorial and researching the Exsanguination kit, craft it together with the Blood Sack. With these tools, you can defeat enemies and utilize the Exsanguination kit on the deceased to collect their blood into your sack. Once you’ve gathered sufficient material, return to your base with 70 Salvaged Metal sourced from local machines. Now, invest in unlocking the Blood Purifier and build it using your construction interface by accessing the Refineries menu.
How to Use the Blood Purifier in Dune Awakening
Before operating the Blood Purifier, ensure your base is equipped with a reliable power source, since the device requires 10 energy units to function optimally. Once you have sufficient energy, activate the Blood Purifier at your base by pressing E and deposit the blood from your sacks. This blood will gradually convert into water, which you can consume by pressing F to enhance your hydration levels.
Your Blood Purifier can handle a maximum of 6,000 ml of blood and can convert and store 1,000 ml at one go. Keep utilizing it to ensure ongoing hydration by allowing your device to turn blood into water. Additionally, you have the option to manage the Blood Purifier’s operation, controlling its activation to conserve energy, while also adjusting settings to prevent others from using your facility.
Other ways to bolster your water supply include collecting Dew Flowers, although overconsumption can lead to nausea. As you progress, crafting advanced clothing can allow you to recycle the moisture you lose, helping to maintain hydration without significant drops.
