To acquire these exclusive tools, players will need to seek out Hero Caches–special loot boxes that contain high-value rewards based on the player’s Hero Rank. Here’s a detailed guide on how to locate and access Hero Caches in Fortnite.

Locating Hero Caches in Fortnite

Hero Caches represent a unique category of chests within Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, directly linked to a player’s Hero Rank.

These caches can be found at nearly all named points of interest (POIs) across the island, with their locations often highlighted on both the main and minimaps when they become available. Key areas like Supernova Academy and Utopia City are reliable spots to search, but players can typically find Hero Caches in any named POI.

While the spawning of Hero Caches may vary, there is one guaranteed spot–the basement of the Tech Lab at Supernova Academy, situated within the eastern building of the POI.

Within the Tech Lab, players will uncover several secret rooms, each designated with specific Hero Rank requirements. To access a room, stand near the door while having the corresponding Hero Rank or higher, and interact with it.

Inside these rooms, players will encounter a Hero Cache along with Academy Stands featuring Hero Items. Additionally, various items can be acquired with Gold Bars, including Epic weapons and powerful Boons.

The Tech Lab at Supernova Academy is currently the sole location for these locked rooms, though more Tech Labs are expected to be introduced throughout the season.
