As you progress in the game, you’ll encounter multiple locked doors needing keys. The door at Shu Sanctum is one of them, situated in the Worship’s Rise, an optional exploration area. You can acquire the necessary key from a non-playable character (NPC). Here’s how to secure it.

You can locate the Courtyard Key in the Bamboo Courtyard, which is adjacent to the Courtyard door in Shu Sanctum in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Obtaining the key is straightforward, but as with many Soulslike games, challenges await in the form of enemy encounters and NPC interactions.

Steps to Obtain the Courtyard Key

Upon reaching Shu Sanctum, identify the locked Courtyard door (the one on the far left), which is the door you aim to open. Proceed along the nearby path until you reach a fork, then choose the left path.

Following this route will bring you to the Bamboo Courtyard. Once there, defeat any enemies in the vicinity and engage with the NPCs behind the locked doors. A young boy will be behind one of the doors, and you should select the «Agree to help» option. You will have to provide the Dough Figurine of Yang Zongba, a token the boy gave to his father prior to his departure.

The boy grants you the Courtyard Key.

The boy will explain that his parents are missing; his father left to search for his little brother and mother. After agreeing to assist him, he will give you the Courtyard Key. Return to the locked Courtyard door and unlock it.

Expect to encounter a few enemies on the route back to the door, but they should pose minimal threat.
