Top Esports have secured their place at the 2026 League of Legends World Championship after defeating Invictus Gaming 3–1 in the upper-bracket final of the LPL Regional Finals.
As Cybersport In reports, citing GosuGamers, the victory made Top Esports China’s third confirmed representative at the tournament. The team joined Anyone’s Legend and Bilibili Gaming on the LPL’s list of qualified participants.
Invictus Gaming took the opening game of the series in 40 minutes. Rookie delivered a confident performance on Syndra, finishing with a 3/1/7 score, while JiaQi recorded five kills on Yunara.
Top Esports responded in the second map, securing a 14–8 kill advantage and closing the game in 31 minutes. ZUIAN led the team on Olaf with seven kills, while Tian contributed three kills and six assists on Lee Sin.
The third game became the most one-sided victory of the series. Creme dominated on Locke with a 13/2/8 score, supported by ZUIAN’s eight kills and eight assists on Ambessa.
Top Esports completed the comeback in the fourth game after 38 minutes. Tian’s Pantheon finished with an impressive 8/1/11 record, while JackeyLove added seven kills and ten assists on Kalista.
The result is particularly important for TES after an inconsistent domestic season. The organisation finished fifth-sixth in LPL Split 1, second in Split 2 and seventh-eighth in Split 3. Its third-place finish in the championship-points standings nevertheless provided another opportunity through the regional qualification system.
For Top Esports, qualification also offers a chance to recover from a disappointing seventh-eighth-place result at MSI 2026. The team will now return to international competition at the season’s biggest event.
The League of Legends World Championship is scheduled to begin in New York City on October 15. All four Chinese representatives will enter the Swiss Stage, which will be held in Allen, Texas, from October 23 to 31.
Invictus Gaming remain in contention for the LPL’s fourth and final Worlds berth. They will have to compete against the winner of the regional series involving Team WE and JD Gaming.
