South Korea Win Overwatch World Cup 2026 After Defeating Saudi Arabia

South Korea have won the Overwatch World Cup 2026 after defeating Saudi Arabia 2-1 in the grand final, Cybersport.in reports, citing Tribuna.com.

The South Korean national team reached the final after an impressive playoff run. They defeated the United States 3-0 in the quarterfinals before overcoming France 3-2 in a much closer semifinal series.

Saudi Arabia reached the deciding match as the defending champions but failed to retain the title, losing 1-2 to South Korea.

France finished third after beating Sweden 3-1 in the bronze-medal match. The victory gave South Korea their fourth Overwatch World Cup title. The country previously dominated the competition during its early years, winning three consecutive championships in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

The result once again highlights South Korea’s position as one of the world’s leading esports nations. The country is also home to organizations such as T1, which has built one of the most successful dynasties in esports history.

Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, remains increasingly influential in international competitive gaming. The country is investing heavily in multiple disciplines, including Overwatch, while Saudi organizations such as Team Falcons have expanded into global esports.
