GTA 6 fans have identified an apartment complex in Rockstar’s latest showcase that resembles the real Miami property used as Dexter Morgan’s home in the television series Dexter. Rockstar Games has not confirmed that the similarity is an intentional Easter egg.

Rockstar’s latest GTA 6 Extended Look has given fans another opportunity to compare the fictional state of Leonida with the real-world Florida locations that inspired it.

Following the August 27 presentation, attention turned to a waterfront apartment complex briefly shown in the footage.

Fans noted that the building resembles the Bay Harbor Club property on Florida’s Bay Harbor Islands, which was used for exterior shots of Dexter Morgan’s apartment in the original Dexter series.

Comparisons shared online point to several similarities, including the overall shape of the building, its waterfront position, nearby walkways and a spiral staircase visible on one side of the complex.

Those details have led to speculation that Rockstar intentionally recreated one of the show’s most recognizable locations.

For now, however, that remains only a theory.

Rockstar has not identified the building as a Dexter reference and has made no announcement connecting GTA 6 to the television series. There is therefore no confirmation that the location is an Easter egg rather than another piece of Miami-inspired architecture used to construct Vice City and the wider state of Leonida.

The real property associated with Dexter is the Bay Harbor Club at 1155 103rd Street on Bay Harbor Islands near Miami.

Its exterior appeared in the series, while many later interior scenes involving Dexter’s apartment were produced using studio sets.

A similar building appearing in GTA 6 would also fit Rockstar’s broader approach to world design. Leonida is a fictionalized interpretation of Florida, while Vice City once again serves as the series’ version of Miami.

Rockstar has historically adapted recognizable architecture, neighborhoods and cultural references from real locations without necessarily recreating them exactly.

The new Extended Look provides considerably more material for those comparisons than the previous GTA 6 trailers.

Rockstar says the entire presentation was captured from in-game footage running on PlayStation 5. It showed additional areas of Leonida alongside scenes involving Jason and Lucia, police chases, gunfights, boats and several optional activities.

That means the apartment complex itself is part of GTA 6’s playable world, but there is currently no information about whether players will be able to enter it or whether it has any role in the story.

Claims that the property could be purchasable or connected to a serial-killer storyline are also unconfirmed and originate from fan speculation rather than information released by Rockstar.

Players will be able to investigate the location themselves later this year.

GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are already available, while Rockstar has not announced a PC release date.

Whether the apparent Dexter connection turns out to be intentional may therefore remain unanswered until players can explore this part of Leonida after launch.
