2K has officially announced NBA 2K27, confirming a September 4 worldwide release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2. Alongside the launch date, the publisher unveiled this year’s cover athletes and detailed the game’s three editions.
Victor Wembanyama headlines the Standard Edition after becoming the NBA’s first unanimous Defensive Player of the Year. Caitlin Clark appears on the Deluxe Edition, making history as the first WNBA player to receive a solo global premium cover, while Derrick Rose fronts the limited-time Ultra Edition.
The Standard Edition launches on September 4 for $69.99. Players who purchase either the Deluxe ($99.99) or Ultra ($149.99) editions will gain Early Access beginning August 28, alongside bonus VC, MyCAREER content, MyTEAM rewards and additional digital items. The Ultra Edition also includes the Season 1 Pro Pass and the Summer Season Pass bundle.
2K has not yet revealed gameplay improvements, but confirmed that the first official gameplay trailer will debut on July 28, with further details about the game’s core features and modes expected ahead of launch.
