In the world of Crimson Desert, the Grey Wolf armor set has captured the attention of players, prominently featured in the game’s promotional materials. However, this distinctive gear isn’t immediately attainable. Gamers venturing into the realm must first navigate to the mid-game and successfully unlock the Pailune region before they can seize this coveted armor. The quest to acquire it becomes much simpler once players reach this stage, provided they have amassed a sufficient stash of coins.
The path to securing the Grey Wolf armor set begins in Pailune City, where players must locate Lola the Tailor. However, the city is not easily accessible at first; it is currently besieged by the Yellow Jackals. To explore Pailune and access its shops, players must progress through the storyline and defeat the final boss in Chapter 7: Homecoming. Only after emerging victorious will they find the city safe for exploration once more.
Lola’s shop is conveniently situated at the southern end of Pailune City, where she offers various armor sets, including parts of the Grey Wolf set. Yet, players should note that while the boots and cloak are available for purchase, acquiring the chest piece requires increasing their trust level with Lola to 100%. Building this rapport takes effort, but it’s achievable.
To enhance this relationship, players can interact with Lola and present her with gifts. Copper Pouches, dropped by minor enemies in the lands of Pywel, serve as acceptable offerings. Each pouch increases her trust level by 5%, and players will need to hand over approximately 18 to 19 Copper Pouches to unlock her full trust potential.
Once Lola’s trust reaches the maximum level, players can finally buy the entire Grey Wolf armor set, which includes the Grey Wolf Leather Boots for 1.12 Silver, a Leather Cloak for 8.40 Silver, and the Leather Armor for 7.88 Silver. This ensemble not only provides a visually striking look for the character Kliff but also delivers solid defensive attributes, including enhanced resistance to lightning damage, which can be further improved through refinement at a Smithy.
While the Grey Wolf armor set isn’t the absolute best in Crimson Desert, it remains a reliable option throughout the majority of the game, particularly when upgraded to boost its effectiveness. Players should find value in this set as they navigate the challenges and adventures that await them in this immersive world.
