To drop an item you are carrying in Sons of the Forest, simply press the G key on your keyboard.

Depending on your available inventory space, smaller items will be placed away while larger items, such as logs, will drop directly upon pressing G.

You can dispose of unwanted items, like spoiled food, directly from your inventory. Simply open the inventory and right-click on the item to discard it. This action only applies to expired items; all other items will remain intact in your inventory.
