Trading has become a significant aspect of Grow a Garden, enabling players to share pets and resources. Previously, the only available option was a gifting system, which posed security risks and allowed for potential scams.
With the arrival of the 1.17.0 Trading & Cooking update, a new trading system is introduced, allowing players to confidently engage in trades and exchange items securely. Here’s a guide on how trading operates in Grow a Garden.
How to Utilize Trading Tickets in Grow a Garden
While gifting options still exist in the game, trading proves to be the more trustworthy choice. In Grow a Garden, you can trade items by using Trading Tickets. Simply visit the Gear Shop and purchase one for 100,000 Sheckles. If you’re unsure of the location, it is adjacent to the Cosmetics and Crafting Stand. Additionally, a Recall Wrench can be used to teleport there quickly.
To trade pets and other items (details below), you only need a single Trading Ticket. The other player does not need one to initiate the trade.
To begin a trade, equip the ticket and press the E key while facing the player you wish to trade with. Once they accept the request, a trade window will appear for both players.
Next, click the plus button to start adding your Pets and Fruits. To include Sheckles, simply input the amount in the orange «Add Sheckles» button. Each item will be displayed sequentially in your offer area. Your trade companion will follow suit. The total trade value will be visible at the top of the trading interface, allowing both players to assess whether the trade is equitable. When ready, click the «Accept» button to finalize and confirm the trade. After both players agree, the items will be exchanged.
What Items Can Be Traded in Grow a Garden?
Currently, crop seeds are not transferable in Grow a Garden, though this may change in future updates. At this moment, players can trade the following:
Each transaction allows both players to exchange up to 12 items with just one Trading Ticket. These can be any combination of pets or fruits; Sheckles can be added separately, which do not count toward the item limit, making the process more accommodating. However, if your trading partner’s inventory is full, you won’t be capable of adding your items until they clear some space or sell something.
