The «Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration» event has introduced the ability to catch nearly every Pokemon from the Hisui region in Pokemon GO. Hisuian Pokemon, as denoted by their names, were initially discovered in the Hisui region. While some of them, like Overqwil and Sneasler, are new additions, others such as Growlithe and Voltorb come with regional forms. However, the methods for capturing Hisuian Pokemon in Pokemon GO differ from those in the mainline games. Several evolved forms of Hisuian Pokemon are exclusive to raids, making it crucial for players to be aware of what can and cannot be found in the wild.

Hisuian Growlithe & Hisuian Arcanine

Hisuian Growlithe and Hisuian Arcanine are Fire/Rock-type Pokemon that were first featured in Pokemon GO during the «Hisuian Discoveries» event on July 27, 2022. Currently, Hisuian Growlithe can be found in the wild with its appearance rates affected by various in-game events and weather conditions. To evolve Hisuian Growlithe into Hisuian Arcanine, you will need 50 Growlithe Candies.

Hisuian Voltorb & Hisuian Electrode

Hisuian Voltorb and Hisuian Electrode are Electric/Grass-type Pokemon. Hisuian Voltorb was the first of the Hisuian Pokemon to be introduced in Pokemon GO, available through «Voltorb from the Hisui Region?!» Special Research on January 30, 2022. Hisuian Electrode became available later, on February 18, 2022. Players can find Hisuian Voltorb in the wild or hatch it from 7km Eggs.

Kleavor

Kleavor, a Bug/Rock-type, is a new evolution of Scyther. Like Slowpoke, you can evolve Scyther into different forms. Since its introduction during the Kleavor Raid Day on May 6, 2023, players can capture Kleavor from 3-star raids, and there’s also the chance of encountering its Shiny version. However, Scyther cannot be evolved into Kleavor in GO at this time.

Hisuian Typhlosion

The Fire/Ghost-type Hisuian Typhlosion was first revealed in Pokemon Legends: Arceus and received mixed feedback, though its popularity increased due to its design and signature move. This form serves as the final evolution of Cyndaquil, the Johto region’s Fire-type starter. However, players cannot evolve Cyndaquil or Quilava into Hisuian Typhlosion in GO; they must instead battle it in 3-star raids to obtain it.

Hisuian Qwilfish & Overqwil

Hisuian Qwilfish and Overqwil are Dark/Poison-type Pokemon introduced during the «Hisuian Discoveries» event, similar to Hisuian Growlithe. Both types are available in Pokemon GO, but only the Hisuian variant can evolve into Overqwil. Hisuian Qwilfish can be caught in the wild or hatched from 7km Eggs, and to evolve into Overqwil, players must set it as their Buddy and complete a Buddy Task of defeating 10 raids while also using 50 Qwilfish Candy.

Wyrdeer

Wyrdeer, a Normal/Psychic-type, is the evolved form of Stantler. To evolve Stantler into Wyrdeer traditionally requires its signature move: Psyshield Bash, but in Pokemon GO, this evolution is not possible. Wyrdeer can be captured only through 3-star raids. Following its debut event «Winter Wonderland,» which concluded in December 2023, its future appearance in raids will be limited to specific Hisui-themed events.

Hisuian Sneasel & Sneasler

Hisuian Sneasel and Sneasler debuted during the «Hisuian Discoveries» event, distinguishing themselves with their Fighting/Poison typing–contrast to their Johto variant. Though it was initially possible to hatch Hisuian Sneasel from 7km Eggs, this option has been removed. Players can now catch Hisuian Sneasel in the wild, and to evolve it into Sneasler, they must set it as their buddy, walk 7km, evolve it during the day, and use 100 Sneasel Candy.

Ursaluna

Ursaluna, the final evolution of Teddiursa, is a Ground/Normal-type Pokemon. This Pokemon was introduced during the Teddiursa Community Day on November 12, 2022, and players cannot find Ursaluna in the wild. Instead, it requires evolving Ursaring with 100 Teddiursa Candies during a full moon–making the evolution an exceptionally rare event.

Hisuian Samurott

Like Hisuian Typhlosion, Hisuian Samurott concludes the evolutionary line of Oshawott from the Unova region. In Legends: Arceus, Dewott evolving into Hisuian Samurott occurred seamlessly; however, in GO, players can only battle in raids to obtain this evolution. It is Water/Dark-typed, differing from the original Samurott’s single Water typing, and is vulnerable to Electric, Grass, Fighting, and Fairy-type moves.

Hisuian Lilligant

This Grass/Fighting-type debuted on July 12, 2025, as a 3-star Raid Pokemon. Players cannot evolve Petilil into Hisuian Lilligant in Pokemon GO; it is exclusively available through raids. If Petilil is evolved with a Sun Stone, it will turn into a standard Unova Lilligant instead.

Hisuian Braviary

Unlike its regular counterpart, Hisuian Braviary carries the Psychic/Flying typing. This evolved form comes from Rufflet reaching level 54 in Hisui, and in Pokemon GO, using 50 Rufflet Candies only evolves it into the regular Braviary. Players will have to seek 3-star raids to capture Hisuian Braviary during Hisui-themed events.

Hisuian Zorua & Hisuian Zoroark

From July 8 to July 13, 2025, Pokemon GO hosted its «Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration» event, showcasing the debut of Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark alongside shinies of Hisuian Voltorb and Hisuian Qwilfish. Hisuian Zorua possesses a poignant Pokédex entry that piqued player interest. As Normal/Ghost-types, they can disguise themselves as the Buddy Pokemon on the in-game map. To evolve into Hisuian Zoroark, players will need to use 50 Zorua Candies.

Hisuian Avalugg

In the Hisui region, Bergmite evolves into Hisuian Avalugg at level 37. However, in Pokemon GO, obtaining the Hisuian version requires completing the «Hisui Celebration Collection Challenge: Space-Time Distortion» during the ongoing event, or capturing it from 3-star raids.

Hisuian Decidueye

Hisuian Decidueye, like the other starters from Legends: Arceus, is accessed through 3-star raids. This Grass/Fighting-type debuted during the Raid Day on February 11, 2024, carrying a weakness to Flying-type moves.

Unavailable Hisuian Pokemon (July 2025)

Fortunately, most Hisuian Pokemon have made their way to Pokemon GO. Over time, more from this region will likely become available along with their shiny variants. As of July 2025, the following Pokemon are still unattainable in Pokemon GO, but are expected to be released in future events:
