Embark on an adventure, discover the pixie dust, and assist the ship in taking flight!
The quest titled «A Ship of Gold» begins immediately after you complete the «Shadows on the Wall» mission in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This mission is a part of the storyline introduced in Update 17 and is essential for progressing towards your encounter with Peter Pan. If you’re seeking a detailed guide for this quest, you’ve come to the right place.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Ship of Gold Walkthrough
Proceed through the gate that you unlocked upon finishing the previous quest, located next to the shadow figure you captured. Ascend the ramps to the upper level of Skull Rock and engage in conversation with The Forgotten (who will bear the name you selected during the A Forgotten Name quest).
Explore the New Area and Clear the Rocks
To advance, you’ll need to find an exit. Look for rocks on the left side of the cliff where The Forgotten stands. Utilize your Royal Pickaxe to break through.
Once the rocks are cleared, you’ll discover a Pixie Dust Orb and a Rope Winch. Collect these items and return to The Forgotten to discuss your findings.
Chase the Pixie Dust Orb and Gather Pixie Dust
The orb will take off, and your task is to track it down while collecting the Pixie Dust it leaves in its wake. Be prepared for a speedy pursuit (consume a meal to boost your sprint stamina).
Here are the six locations where Pixie Dust can be found:
- At the cliff’s edge, behind two large rocks.
- Adjacent to the ship on the ground floor.
- Through the cave entrance on the ground floor – position the Rope Winch on the wall, rotate the wheel, and enter. Follow the orb until it reaches a stone wall. Use your Pickaxe to break it and claim the third Pixie Dust.
- Further along the tunnel, past more breakable walls.
- Beside a chest with candles on it – destroy the wall, turn left, then left again to find the fifth Pixie Dust.
- Back in the previous room – retrace your steps to catch the orb and collect the last Pixie Dust along with the orb itself.
Make the Ship Fly
Return to the ground floor and locate the ship on your left. You need not read the nearby note to continue. Simply interact with the ship while on the pier to sprinkle the Pixie Dust.
The ship will elevate and form a bridge.
Solve the Barrel Puzzle
Ascend to the top of Skull Rock and walk across the floating ship to reach the other side. Take the stairs down to where The Forgotten awaits. Speak to them to proceed.
You will see six barrels, each marked with a symbol. Your job is to pair them by rotating the barrels so that matching symbols face each other. Since matching barrels are located across from each other, expect to make several trips back and forth (fortunately, the ship serves as a bridge).
Here are the correct pairs:
- Hook + Clock – representing Captain Hook
- Bell + Pixie – symbolizing Tinker Bell
- Needle + Shadow – denoting Peter Pan
Locate the Key for the Captain’s Cabin
Seek out a golden key resting on a round table right behind The Forgotten. Pick it up, then enter the ship and interact with the glimmering door to unlock the captain’s cabin.
Unlock the Gate
Inside the cabin, head to the back right corner near the piano and retrieve the Rope Winch. Exit the cabin and return to The Forgotten.
Position the Rope Winch on the glowing circle behind them, spin the wheel once, and the second gate at Skull Rock will open.
