Guide to the Mamool Ja Allied Society Quests in Final Fantasy 14

Among the many diverse content options available in Final Fantasy 14, players often gravitate towards the Allied Society Questlines, previously referred to as «Beast Tribes.» These questlines not only enrich the game’s lore across various regions but also offer exciting rewards for those who engage with them.

The Mamool Ja questline, introduced in the Dawntrail expansion of Final Fantasy 14, represents one such Allied Society. This guide outlines the steps needed to unlock this questline, explains how the Allied Society quests operate, and details the rewards awaiting players who complete the Mamool Ja questline.

Unlocking the Mamool Ja Allied Society in Final Fantasy 14

The Mamool Ja Allied Society questline begins at Yak T’el, located at coordinates (X:35.6, Y:32.0) within the lower region of Mamook. Players should start their journey by speaking to Gotoll Ja, who will offer the Level 90 ‘Cultivating Hope’ quest for their chosen gathering class.

It is important to note that this particular Allied Society questline is specifically designed for Disciple of the Land classes. Disciples of the Hand (crafters) and combat classes cannot partake in this questline. If you need to level up a gathering class to access the content, the Cosmic Exploration content introduced in Patch 7.21 provides an excellent avenue for quick leveling, assuming you have completed the Endwalker expansion.

Before you can start the Mamool Ja Allied Society questline at Yak T’el, there are several prerequisite quests you must complete. These include:

  • ‘Aiming High’ – Available at Yak T’el (X:13.3, Y:13.4); this quest unlocks an Aether Current for the Yak T’el region.
  • ‘Hunting For the Family’ – Speak to Ty’at Roh in Yak T’el at (X:12.3, Y:11.9).
  • ‘A Hunter’s Dream’ – Speak to Ty’at Roh in Yak T’el at (X:11.3, Y:14.4).
  • ‘The Trial Commences’ – Speak to Ty’at Roh in Yak T’el at (X:30.9, Y:14.9).
  • ‘Lost and Powerless’ – Available at Yak T’el (Y:32.0, Y:31.3); this quest unlocks an Aether Current for the Yak T’el region.
  • ‘Remembering a Dream’ – Speak to Shiidil Ja in Yak T’el at (X:31.7, Y:31.0).
  • ‘Budding Promise’ – Speak to Gotoll Ja in Yak T’el at (X:34.7, Y:32.6).
  • ‘Skill of a Veteran’ – Speak to Gotoll Ja in Yak T’el at (X:34.7, Y:32.6).
  • ‘One Forest’ – Speak to Gotoll Ja in Yak T’el at (X:34.7, Y:32.6).
  • ‘Dawntrail’ – Main Scenario Quest in Living Memory at (X:11.4, Y:4.6).

After completing these prerequisite quests, you may return to Gotoll Ja to receive the ‘Cultivating Hope’ quest. While the prior quests can be completed using a combat class, the ‘Cultivating Hope’ quest requires a gathering class to finish.

Upon fulfilling this quest’s requirements, the Mamool Ja Allied Society questline will be unlocked for your character, along with access to its daily objectives and features.

Completing Mamool Ja Allied Society Quests in Final Fantasy 14

The Mamool Ja Allied Society questline is the second questline introduced in the Dawntrail (7.0) expansion. Following the pattern of prior Allied Society (or «Beast Tribe») questlines, players earn progress by completing up to three daily quests provided by NPC Kageel Ja, found at the Gok Golma hub south of Mamook at (X:33.2, Y:36.0).

Completing these daily quests provides players with experience points for their selected class, gil, Mamool Ja Nanook tokens, and Mamool Ja Relations points. The tokens are exchangeable for various rewards from Veerul Ja, the vendor at Gok Golma. Simultaneously, the Mamool Ja Relations points help increase your Reputation Rank with the Mamool Ja Allied Society tribe.

As players complete additional daily quests and level up, the Gok Golma hub will develop further, unlocking special milestone quests and exclusive rewards from the vendor.

The attainable ranks within this questline include:

  • Friendly – Automatically available at the start of the questline.
  • Trusted – Requires 510 Mamool Ja Relations points.
  • Respected – Requires 720 Mamool Ja Relations points.
  • Honored – Requires 990 Relations points.
  • Sworn – Requires 1320 Relations points.
  • Bloodsworn – Requires 1730 Relations points; this is the final rank.

Even after reaching the Bloodsworn rank, players can continue to engage in daily quests provided by Kageel Ja with any gathering class for effective leveling.

Rewards from Mamool Ja Allied Society Quests in Final Fantasy 14

As previously mentioned, advancing your rank in the Mamool Ja Allied Society questline leads to the unlocking of more exclusive rewards from Veerul Ja, the vendor at Gok Golma. Each rank introduces a set of new rewards, which can be obtained by exchanging Mamool Ja Nanook tokens.

Aside from basic rewards like gathering and crafting materials, some items can exclusively be obtained through this questline and cannot be found on the Market Board, including a mount and a minion.

While the complete list of cumulative rewards and their respective unlocks is still under confirmation, it is known that the Branchbearer mount will be available for 18 Mamool Ja Nanook tokens, while the Ja Tiika Leafkin minion will be priced at 8 Mamool Ja Nanook tokens.
