FC Pro 27 will begin on September 21 with $2.5 million in prize money available across the season. The circuit will culminate in a 36-player FC Pro World Championship, with the first eight spots awarded through the FC Pro Open.
EA has unveiled the structure of the FC Pro 27 competitive season, setting out the qualification routes that will take players from an in-game open ladder to the season-ending World Championship.
Competition begins on September 21, 2026, with a total prize pool of $2.5 million spread across the different stages of the circuit.
The new season will also expand FC Pro’s geographic reach. Players from Bahrain, Jordan, Libya and Oman will be eligible to participate for the first time, with all four countries joining the Middle East region.
The first step is the FC Pro Open Ladder, running from September 21 to October 3. The competition will be hosted directly inside EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Team rather than through an external tournament platform.
Players who reach Division 5 or higher in Division Rivals will be able to access the competitive mode. Qualification will be based on a player’s highest ladder placement during the tournament.
A total of 1,376 competitors across ten regions will advance to the FC Pro Open Regional Qualifiers on October 10-11. Europe West, Europe East, LATAM South and the Middle East receive the largest allocations, with 256 qualification spots each.
The regional stage will reduce the field to 52 players, who will travel to London for the FC Pro Open Global Qualifier. They will be joined by 12 invited competitors to create a 64-player field.
Sixteen players will advance from the Global Qualifier to the FC Pro Open, where eight established competitors from last season will already be waiting: Bonanno, Danipitbull, Emre Yilmaz, Levi de Weerd, Levyfinn, Nassada, RvPLegend10 and Vejrgang.
The resulting 24-player FC Pro Open field will be divided into four groups of six. Each group will use a double round-robin format, with every competitor playing the others twice.
Group winners will advance directly to the top eight and simultaneously secure a place at the FC Pro World Championship. Four more World Championship berths will be awarded through the remainder of the FC Pro Open playoffs, bringing the first group of qualified players to eight.
Several of the returning names enter FC Pro 27 after major results in the previous season. RvPLegend10 begins the new campaign as the reigning 2026 FC Pro World Champion, while Vejrgang successfully defended his FC Pro Open title during the previous circuit.
Missing out on the FC Pro Open will not end a player’s World Championship campaign. FC Pro 27 will provide several additional routes through FC Pro Open Cups, FC Pro Leagues, licensed competitions, the Last Chance Qualifier and World Championship Play-Ins.
The Open Cups will run across the latter part of the season, allowing players to collect Circuit Points and remain in contention for qualification.
The season will eventually culminate in the 36-player FC Pro World Championship. Its opening League Stage will give every competitor six matches, with opponents drawn based on six ranking pools.
The top eight in the overall standings will advance directly to the Round of 16. Players finishing ninth through 24th will enter the Round of 24, while the bottom 12 will be eliminated.
The World Championship carries $1 million of the season’s $2.5 million prize pool. The eventual champion will earn $250,000, while the runner-up receives $150,000.
The remaining prize money is distributed throughout the circuit. FC Pro Open carries $533,000, the Open Cups combine for $315,000, the Global Qualifier offers $152,000, the Last Chance Qualifier has $248,000, and another $252,000 is allocated to the Play-Ins.
For most aspiring competitors, however, the road to the FC Pro 27 World Championship begins on September 21 with the Open Ladder and a place among the 1,376 players advancing to regional qualification.
