According to the report, valyn and LYON have reached a verbal agreement. However, the deal will only move forward if the Mexican organization is selected as one of the eight partner teams for the upcoming VCT Americas season.

If LYON does not receive a partnership slot, the agreement will be cancelled and valyn is expected to explore other opportunities as a free agent.

The organization reportedly intends to build its new VALORANT roster around Latin American players, with valyn returning to the in-game leader role.

valyn Could Leave G2 Esports After Three Seasons

The potential move comes as G2 Esports reshapes its VALORANT lineup. The organization previously decided to bring in Eduardo «Sato» Nagahama and Francisco «kiNng» Aravena, replacing valyn as part of its roster changes.

During three seasons with G2, valyn won four regional titles and was recognized as IGL of the Year.

The 22-year-old American has been one of the key figures in G2’s VALORANT project, serving as the team’s captain and in-game leader. A move to LYON would give him an opportunity to take on a similar leadership role in a roster focused on Latin American talent.

LYON, meanwhile, competed in VCL Latin America North last season. Its potential entry into VCT Americas would mark a significant step for the organization and determine whether the reported agreement with valyn can be completed.
