Roblox creators earned approximately $1.7 billion through the platform’s Developer Exchange program over the past year, representing an increase of around 50%, Cybersport.in reports, citing Tribuna.com.
The figures were revealed during a Roblox conference focused on the company’s creator ecosystem. According to the data presented, developers among the platform’s top 10 earners made an average of $65.7 million over the 12-month period.
The gap becomes considerably wider further down the ranking. Creators in the top 1,000 earned approximately $1.4 million on average.
However, Roblox noted that these figures do not reflect the earnings of a typical participant in the Developer Exchange program. More than 42,000 creators currently participate in the program, while median earnings were just $1,500 over 12 months.
The figures demonstrate both the scale of the Roblox creator economy and the significant concentration of revenue among the platform’s most successful developers.
Developer Exchange allows eligible creators to convert Robux earned through their games and other content into real-world currency, making it one of the central elements of Roblox’s business model for developers.
