THQ Nordic is expanding its presence across Nintendo’s two console generations with a lineup of five releases for Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The publisher’s schedule includes Destroy All Humans!, Sacred 2 Remaster, Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide.
The lineup combines ports and remasters of established games with newer releases from THQ Nordic’s catalog. Some are being developed specifically for Switch 2, while others will extend the lifespan of the original Nintendo Switch.
Destroy All Humans! is the first title in the latest wave to reach Switch 2. Black Forest Games’ remake brings Crypto-137’s invasion of 1950s America to Nintendo’s newer hardware after previously appearing on other platforms.
Sacred 2 Remaster follows on August 11 for Nintendo Switch, with the game also playable on Switch 2 through backward compatibility.
It is the oldest title represented in THQ Nordic’s current Nintendo lineup. The original Sacred 2: Fallen Angel launched in 2008, combining action RPG combat with a large open world, multiple character classes and extensive side content. The remaster brings Ancaria back to modern platforms nearly two decades later.
Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed will then arrive on Switch 2 on September 15. Developed by Black Forest Games, the remake originally launched for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2022 before expanding to additional platforms.
The sequel moves Crypto’s story into the 1960s and expands the formula with larger environments and additional abilities. Its Switch 2 release will give Nintendo players access to both modern Destroy All Humans! remakes on the new hardware.
Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed follows on October 6 with a dedicated Switch 2 edition.
The game is a remake of 2010’s Epic Mickey and follows Mickey Mouse through Wasteland, a world inhabited by forgotten Disney characters. Its paint-and-thinner mechanic remains central to exploration, allowing players to restore or remove parts of the environment.
The current release schedule concludes on October 13 with SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide for the original Nintendo Switch.
Purple Lamp’s 3D platformer previously launched on other current platforms, including Switch 2, in November 2025. The upcoming port extends the game’s reach to Nintendo’s previous-generation hardware.
Titans of the Tide follows SpongeBob and Patrick as they deal with supernatural chaos in Bikini Bottom. Players can switch between the two characters and use their different abilities across platforming and exploration sections.
Taken together, the five releases show THQ Nordic supporting both sides of Nintendo’s hardware transition. The original Switch remains a target due to its established audience, while Switch 2 provides an opportunity to bring older titles and remakes to Nintendo hardware with fewer technical constraints.
After Sacred 2 Remaster in August, THQ Nordic’s Nintendo schedule will continue into the autumn with Destroy All Humans! 2: Reprobed on September 15, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed on October 6 and the Switch version of SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide on October 13.
