Unveiling the Complete Roster of Automaton Foes in Helldivers 2

In the expansive universe of Helldivers 2, players face a formidable set of opponents known as the Automatons, a relentless robotic faction bent on upending the democratic values of Super-Earth. As countless mechanical adversaries surge onto the battlefield, understanding their attributes is crucial for any player looking to gain the upper hand.

The Automatons are diverse, featuring a range of unit types that require strategic approaches to combat. To aid players, we’ve compiled an exhaustive list detailing these enemies, including their vulnerabilities, appropriate weapon types, and the difficulty levels at which they can be encountered. This information is invaluable for planning callouts and developing combat strategies.

Among the less threatening enemies are the Troopers, available from Trivial Difficulty levels. Troopers, including variants like Raiders, Marauders, and Brawlers, are easily dispatched by most weaponry, making them a simple target. However, Brawlers do pose a slight risk as their agility enables them to chase down players, albeit their weaknesses keep them manageable.

On the battlefield, Commissars emerge to lead small patrols. They, too, spawn at Trivial Difficulty, resembling Troopers but with a critical ability to summon reinforcements via a deployed flare. This makes them a priority target, as their presence can quickly overwhelm unsuspecting players.

As players progress in difficulty, they encounter Scout Striders and Devastators. Scout Striders, with their armored fronts, require tactical flank maneuvers to effectively eliminate the trooper within. The Devastators, appearing from Challenging Difficulty onward, boast assault cannons and variants equipped with shields or rockets, with headshots being a key to quickly taking them down.

Moving to more menacing foes, Berserkers and Hulks stand out. Berserkers, appearing in early difficulties, wield chainsaws and rush players aggressively, while Hulks, available at Challenging Difficulty, employ heavy weaponry such as miniguns and rocket launchers, necessitating focus on their weak spots for effective takedown.

Tanks add another layer of challenge. Annihilator and Shredder Tanks, primarily encountered on Medium Difficulty, can be neutralized with close confrontations using explosives. In contrast, Barrager Tanks, which appear in high-difficulty scenarios, unleash a torrent of rockets, making them dangerous to nearby allies.

The pinnacle of danger lies with the War and Factory Striders, found in Extreme and Challenging Difficulties, respectively. War Striders employ advanced weapons, requiring precision shots to their vulnerable points, while Factory Striders exemplify a significant threat due to their heavy armor and powerful armaments.

Arming yourself with knowledge about these diverse Automatons can dramatically increase your chances of survival and success in Helldivers 2. Prepare wisely, and ensure every engagement counts in the fight for the future of Super-Earth.
