Deltarune is filled with hidden clues and challenges, prompting players to seek out help online. In Chapter 1, while many puzzles center around card symbols and the timing of their switches, one intriguing puzzle features a concealed tree.
As players navigate a path, they must avoid taking damage until they notice this tree, which will vanish before they can approach it. Additionally, nearby, players can discover one of the several secret egg rooms that contain a crucial key item. It’s important to collect this item before exiting the area.
Locating the Hidden Tree in Deltarune (Chapter 1)
To find the hidden tree, players need to advance through Chapter 1 until they encounter a specific sign that will activate this room. The sign will be blue and display the following message:
Focus on the center and look closely. The darker it gets, the more you’ll see.
After interacting with the sign, players should move to the right where they will find a ring with a hazardous area marked by white diamonds. Entering this hazard zone will cause the screen to darken and reveal Kris’s red heart.
Players need to wait for the line of diamonds to align with Kris and then follow it in an anticlockwise direction. At the top of the ring, a tree with two legs will appear. After observing this peculiar tree, they should exit the ring and head to the spot where the tree was located.
Upon interacting with this area, players will learn that a switch has been activated. They can now proceed to the right to continue the story in Chapter 1.
Additionally, it’s noteworthy that returning to the blue sign offers a chance to discover a secret room.
Adjacent Secret Egg Room
The game features numerous secret egg rooms, which can be easily overlooked. It’s advisable to investigate their locations prior to progressing through a chapter to ensure none are missed. By journeying back to the left on the path, players might stumble upon a hidden room containing a tree.
Once players locate this secret room and approach the tree, interacting with it will trigger a dialogue. The message will read, «(He is behind the tree),» prompting players to circle around the tree and interact with the area behind its leaves.
They will learn that a man is hidden behind the tree and have the option to accept something from him. Choosing «Yes» will reward players with one of the game’s secret egg items.
