EmiliaQAQ from Lynn Vision Discusses Her Motivation to Pursue a Career in CS2: ‘My Goal is to Support My Family’

Tang «EmiliaQAQ» Junjie and Lynn Vision Gaming are making headlines at the CS2 BLAST Austin Major 2025, showcasing their talent among high-profile players and elite teams.

Considered significant underdogs, Lynn Vision has surprised everyone with their impressive journey on one of the most prominent stages in Counter-Strike. The Chinese team advanced through Stage 1 with a 3-2 record and achieved a remarkable upset against Team Falcons, replicating that success with another 3-2 result in Stage 2. Now they’re ready to face some of the best teams in Stage 3.

Central to the Asian team’s remarkable performance at the Austin Major is EmiliaQAQ. The 20-year-old rifler has not only been delivering standout performances on the battlefield but has also become a fan favorite through his enthusiastic celebrations and entertaining interviews, reflecting his deep love for the game.

Beneath the humor and excitement lies a poignant narrative about his journey to becoming a professional Counter-Strike player. In a video shared on Douyin (the Chinese equivalent of TikTok), EmiliaQAQ expressed the heartfelt reasons behind his pursuit of this dream following Lynn Vision’s qualification for Stage 3 of the Major.

«Mom, when I decided to pursue a professional career, you cried and pleaded with me not to. Our family lacks financial stability, and I want to contribute. I don’t want to be a burden to you,» he wrote, reflecting on his motivations in a translated excerpt from his original message.

He further stated, «I want to show you that I have the means to support our family so that you and my brother can enjoy a better life.»

EmiliaQAQ also shared his feelings of longing for his father. «Dad, it’s been a long time since we last met. I miss you.» He elaborated by mentioning that his father had been in prison for several years and was only recently released.

Lynn Vision is still in the running during Stage 3, having started strong with a 13-5 victory over Team Liquid. However, they faced a setback against Team Spirit, losing 7-13 in the second round–both matches played on Dust2. With a current record of 1-1, they will compete against fellow Asian team The MongolZ in a crucial best-of-one, striving to get closer to the playoffs.

To secure a playoff berth, Lynn Vision must win two more matches, including one best-of-three series. Despite the challenging odds, it’s hard not to cheer for this inspiring team, especially EmiliaQAQ. He’s not just playing for victory; he’s competing with a profound sense of purpose and immense heart.
