Fnatic has officially been eliminated from Worlds 2025 following a series of losses, marking them as the first European team to exit the global competition.

Head coach Grabbz reflected on the team’s struggles and the potential next steps for Fnatic. «There could be issues with the coaching staff or challenges in reconfiguring certain players. This is not the performance we aimed for, and changes will be necessary. I believe this team has reached its limit. We will reassess our home staff and players. If the organization thinks a different head coach could be more effective, then that’s simply how it goes,» Grabbz stated in a post-match interview with Laure Valée.

Fnatic secured third place in the LEC Summer Split, defeating Karmine Corp to qualify for Worlds. As the third seed from Europe, expectations were higher for their performance at the tournament, especially as they successfully maintained their Worlds qualification streak this year.

Before the Summer Split, Fnatic made several key adjustments, including replacing their long-time mid laner Humanoid with Poby to bring new energy to the team. Unfortunately, the squad failed to meet performance expectations.

Grabbz suggested that a more favorable draw at Worlds 2025 could have led to a different outcome for Fnatic, but the focus now shifts to a complete overhaul of either players or staff as they prepare for their next season in the LEC.
