Acorns can be found throughout the world of Grounded 2, and they are crucial for constructing structures and crafting robust armor that will help you fend off early enemies. While they are scattered across the landscape, having a few key locations in mind can greatly facilitate your gathering efforts.

Locating Acorns in Grounded 2

To gather Acorns, head to the Entrance area located towards the southern part of the map. This region is characterized by yellow dry grass, which makes spotting and harvesting Acorns much easier. Simply travel south from the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar to reach it.

Each Acorn provides two components when harvested with your Omni-Hammer: the Top and the Shell. These components serve different purposes, and remember, you’ll need to enhance your Omni-tool to access the hammer feature by visiting the Ranger Station. To upgrade, you must collect 300 Raw Science points, two pebblets, and one sap.

Once equipped with the Omni-Hammer, look for Acorns in the Entrance zone–they may sometimes be concealed. Be prepared to encounter aggressive insects defending them, as you will need to clear them out before breaking the Acorn to acquire its resources. Additionally, five Acorns can also be found near the Ice Cream Truck close to the Blueberry trees to the south, making that a worthwhile location during the mid to late stages of the game.

Remember that harvested Acorns will respawn in the same locations, so it’s advisable to mark these spots on your map and return after several in-game days to gather more.

Utilizing Acorns in Grounded 2

Acorns are primarily used for constructing the Hatchery, a facility necessary to secure your first buggy within the game. Additionally, an Acorn Shell is required while incubating an ant egg. You can also craft the Acorn Face, Plate, Greaves, and Shell, which provide essential early-game armor that helps mitigate damage from foes.

Moreover, Acorns are instrumental in creating various essential structures, including the Sap Catcher, Ant Nest, Spinning Wheel, and Smoothie Station, all of which are vital for preparing potions. The Acorn Shell can also be utilized to create different wall mounts adorned with parts from defeated enemies to showcase your achievements.
