Top Tier Support Cards for Umamusume Pretty Derby

In addition to their regular training activities, players of Umamusume: Pretty Derby receive a variety of beneficial buffs and skill tips. A significant source of these bonuses is the Support Cards, which facilitate smooth training and enable characters to acquire new skills and Aptitude Points efficiently.

With the right combination of Support Cards, players can not only advance their characters’ careers swiftly but also elevate them to higher rankings, making them seasoned veterans. This guide presents a ranking of Support Cards in Umamusume: Pretty Derby from the most valuable to the least essential.

Acquiring Support Cards in ‎Umamusume Pretty Derby

There are various methods to obtain Support Cards in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, the primary one being through the Scout menu by rolling using Carats. Players can also earn them via in-game events or exchange Friends Points at the in-game shop. Support Cards are categorized into six types:

  • Speed
  • Stamina
  • Power
  • Guts
  • Wit
  • Pal

Each card type can be identified by symbols located in the top-right corner. Most of these cards share their abilities with your character during career training, excluding Pal cards, which only transfer stats. For instance, a Speed card typically offers speed-related skills that your trainee can learn at a lower cost.

Additionally, Support Cards provide extra benefits such as rainbow training (Friendship Bonus), initial friendship levels, training boosts, mood enhancements, race and fan bonuses, among others. Some cards may also unlock special skills or events as your trainee progresses.

‎Umamusume Pretty Derby Support Cards Tier List

Given the variety of Support Cards available, we have created tier lists for each category, ranking them from S to D tier based on their utility. The evaluations consider factors like card type bonuses, mood effects, and skill hints, focusing primarily on three crucial aspects: the amount of Friendship Bonus offered, the frequency of appearance in respective training types, and the relevance of skills provided.

These elements significantly impact performance. To clarify:
Friendship Bonus increases rainbow training occurrence, leading to double stats for the trainee, Specialty Priority promotes stat growth based on card type (for example, higher priority Speed cards yield more speed points), and proficient skill hints assist trainees in succeeding in races with discounts on skills.

Upgrading and uncapping Support Cards is vital for maximizing the additional stats and skills that trainees receive. Even C-tier cards can perform significantly better and rival B-tier cards when enhanced. However, for a competitive edge, attempting to acquire SSR or strong SR cards for your team is advisable.
