VALORANT Update 11.04: Enhancements for Chamber and Sage, along with Bug Fixes and Additional Changes

VALORANT has released its newest update, Patch 11.04, which introduces various adjustments, addresses numerous bugs, and enhances core functionalities.

Set to launch on August 20, VALORANT Patch 11.04 implements significant changes to key agents like Chamber, Sage, and Sova, along with adaptations to gameplay systems, shifts in the map rotation, general improvements, and bug fixes. This update also marks the beginning of Act Four in Season V25. Despite the updates, it remains relatively modest for the start of a new Act.

Here’s a comprehensive look at the Patch 11.04 details.

Complete changes in VALORANT Patch 11.04

Changes to Chamber, Sage, and Sova

The French sentinel makes a comeback in the game meta.

The latest patch notes for VALORANT confirm a major buff for Chamber, which was initially intended for Patch 11.04 but mistakenly appeared in Patch 11.02. The update eliminates the distance limit on his Trademark, providing him enhanced strategic options and flexibility in positioning.

Sage’s wall and ultimate skill, Resurrection, have received a boost in casting range, improving her controlling capabilities and safety. Here’s a summary of the adjustments:

  • Wall cast range increased from 10m to 15m
  • Resurrection range increased from 6m to 12m

For Sova, the visuals for his ultimate ability, Hunter’s Fury, have now been enhanced to ensure quicker resolution and occupy less space during gameplay.

In addition to changes to agents, Patch 11.04 also revises Phoenix’s voice lines and introduces new dialogues involving him and Vyse.

Shifts in the Map Pool

As is customary at the start of a new Act, Icebox has been removed from the competitive map rotation and replaced with Abyss, which makes its return after a lengthy absence.

Updates to Minimap Visuals and Audio

Patch 11.04 includes a variety of player-focused changes concerning the minimap, aimed at making it easier to read and minimizing visual distractions.

Firstly, minimap ping sounds have been toned down to provide a less jarring experience for players who are sensitive to audio cues.

Furthermore, when casting an AOE ultimate like Viper’s Pit or Killjoy’s Lockdown, players will notice different indicator colors for ally and enemy casts on the minimap. Allies will consistently appear in teal, while enemies will show up in yellow. Ability icons will only be visible on the minimap if the abilities are destructible.

General Updates

New Act means new challenges.

VALORANT Patch 11.04 also includes notable player experience enhancements.

Players can now gift skins from the Esports store, a feature previously limited to the Daily Store. Additionally, a new server is available in the Asia-Pacific region–the Manila server based in the Philippines.

Bug Fixes in VALORANT Patch 11.04

Now that the feature updates have been covered, let’s discuss the addressed bugs. Here’s a list of fixes implemented in VALORANT Patch 11.04:

  • Resolved an issue where a Concussed player’s crosshair would become static while affected and quickly interacting with a deployable ability like Cypher’s cam or Sova’s drone.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed the minimap to display the deactivation range of Chamber’s Trademark while it was equipped.
  • Addressed an issue where KAY/O’s ZERO/Point revealed opponent locations via an audio cue, which was officially fixed in Patch 11.02 but not announced earlier.
  • Corrected a problem that prevented bullet tracers from passing through Astra’s Cosmic Divide and Harbor’s Cove.
  • Fixed a bug causing an incorrect voice line during round-start when both Phoenix and Tejo were present.
  • Resolved a bug that let Neon players bypass her unequipping delay by mapping High Gear to multiple keys.
  • Addressed a Split map issue that hindered Molotov abilities from spreading correctly upstairs after impact.
  • Fixed a problem in end-of-game screens after Competitive matches where characters were cut off in certain languages.
  • Resolved an issue on the Awards tab in Premier mode where characters were also cut off in certain languages.

Players can jump into the new Act Four on August 20 after downloading Patch 11.04, following a brief server maintenance.
