How to Locate the Queen Bug in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4

The Queen Bug resides deep underground, and you won’t be able to confront her immediately. To engage her, you must first defeat her minions located at three key points of interest: The Hive, Ranger’s Ruin, and Demon’s Debris. Once you land at any of these locations, a threat meter will appear at the top of your screen, prompting you to neutralize the danger.

You can diminish this threat by systematically taking out the Swarmer and Bomber bugs that frequently emerge from the Hive and attack you. The fastest method to reduce the threat meter is by destroying the yellow Hive Stashes and Hive Swarms that keep spawning these bugs. After a short while, the threat bar will empty, allowing the Queen Bug to surface for your boss encounter.

Each of these sites features a Queen Bug, offering a unique Medallion with powerful attributes, along with other legendary loot, which will be discussed later.

How to Conquer the Queen Bug in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4

Once the Queen Bug emerges in the center, she will focus on the nearest enemies first, and then those close to her. She initially appears from the center hole, but after taking damage, she can burrow to another hole, potentially closer to you.

The Queen Bug has two primary attack types: Acid shots and Swarmer spawns. For Acid shots, she shoots acidic projectiles into the air that come down toward you, which can be dodged. While they do significant damage, it’s crucial to evade them to avoid getting hit. The Swarmer spawns allow her to burrow down and release Swarmers that leap toward you, but these are relatively easy to defeat.

From our experience, the Bug Blaster is the most effective weapon against the Queen Bug, as it inflicts substantial damage when aimed at her head. As with any boss battle, your main danger might come from other players waiting for the chance to take you down and claim the rewards, so it’s advisable to clear the area before initiating the fight.
