Is Multiplayer Available in Titan Quest 2?

The original Titan Quest debuted nearly two decades ago, and its follow-up is set to bring numerous enhancements and fresh content for loyal fans. Gamers will initially encounter new Masteries, which introduce diverse classes and builds, but there are numerous gameplay modifications that may not be immediately apparent.

One of the prominent focus areas for Titan Quest 2 has been the inclusion of multiplayer capabilities, allowing players to battle various creatures from Greek mythology alongside their friends. Below, we explore whether Titan Quest 2 offers multiplayer options and clarify the meaning behind Solo Self-Found (SSF).

Is Multiplayer Available in Titan Quest 2?

As of now, Titan Quest 2 is only accessible in early access, and it does not currently support multiplayer for the general audience. Presently, players have access to just a handful of story missions, with much of the final game’s content still unreleased. The multiplayer option appears on the home screen but is currently inactive, leaving solo play as the only option.

Even though public multiplayer is off the table at this time, certain players are being invited to join a multiplayer preview server, although details on how to be selected remain vague. There is no specific schedule indicating when multiplayer will be fully accessible, with expectations set for the upcoming weeks or months.

What Does Solo Self-Found Mean in Titan Quest 2?

Currently, Solo Self-Found is a feature associated with the multiplayer system. Enabling this option means that your character will be restricted from utilizing any multiplayer elements introduced in the game later. If you intend to potentially engage in multiplayer activities in the future, simply leave this option unchecked during character creation; note that it won’t have immediate effects.

Solo Self-Found settings are determined on a character basis, allowing you to have a mix of characters with the feature enabled and those without it.

At this moment, players cannot toggle the Solo Self-Found setting once it has been established. If you have no intention of participating in multiplayer games, enable Solo Self-Found and it won’t pose a problem. However, if you wish to have the option for multiplayer in the future, ensure the box remains unchecked during character creation.
