Roadcraft immerses players in a disaster-stricken environment, compelling them to scavenge for essential resources to replenish the habitat, one of which is a crucial generator. This generator is vital for restoring power to damaged structures, marking it as one of the primary objectives in the game.

However, the process of locating and retrieving the generator can pose a challenge if you are unsure of its whereabouts. It is situated in the Abandoned Facility POI on the map. Once you reach this location, the Object Scanner will be your key tool to help locate the generator. Below, we’ve outlined the process along with the specific steps to follow.

Here’s how to locate and recover the generator at the Abandoned Facility in Roadcraft.

Abandoned Facility in Roadcraft

The Abandoned Facility can be found southeast of the Forward Base, which you first access early in the game. After reaching the Forward Base from the Phosphate Plant, you will unlock a new regional area to the south, which includes the Orange Grove and the Pumping Station.

The Abandoned Facility is housed within the Pumping Station, and the most straightforward way to enter is via the road linking it to the Forward Base. Despite the uneven terrain, this direct path will save you both time and effort.

Generator Location at the Abandoned Facility

Once you gain entry to the Abandoned Facility, employ your Object Scanner to identify the generator. Focus on the upper section of the building, where you will find a container situated on the top floor. After spotting this container with the Object Scanner, hop back into your vehicle and head towards the generator’s location.

Move to the southwest area and lower the ramp to create a pathway. This ramp will be recognized by its black and yellow tape. After you navigate across the ramp, two paths will appear on your left, one leading towards a wooden board via a ramp. This is the optimal route to take.

You will need to carefully lower the ramp to connect it with the wooden board above, ensuring not to apply excessive force that could damage it. Once the ramp is secured, drive back and gently push the first ramp to build a bridge between the two. Avoid driving off the ledge or applying too much pressure while adjusting the ramps.

Once the ramp bridge is complete, you can drive over to the generator and utilize your winch to attach it to the back of your vehicle. After making this connection, look for a fourth wooden board on your left.

Lowering this board will create another ramp leading into the quest area inside the Abandoned Facility. Entering this area will complete the first part of your quest, awarding you with 1,200 XP and 2,520 cash. To claim the remaining rewards, you must then return the generator to the Phosphate Plant.

Delivering the Generator to the Phosphate Plant

While there are direct roads connecting the Phosphate Plant and the Abandoned Facility in Roadcraft, navigating through obstacles and barriers can be challenging, particularly early in the game. After departing from the Abandoned Facility, it is advisable to take the north road leading towards the Phosphate Plant.

This route should be relatively clear of obstacles, except upon approaching the southern gate of the Phosphate Plant, which remains closed initially. This gate can only be opened from within using your car’s winch. Be aware that if this is your first travel through the Phosphate Plant’s southern gate, you will encounter it closed.

Navigate via the northern entrance at the facility and ensure you unlock the southern gate for any future trips in that direction. Since this quest occurs early in Roadcraft, you will experience several new elements, including the Object Scanner, interactive obstacles, and various environments.
