New Content
Aptly named, the Incubating Update features a primary focus on a newly added monster: the Giant Sapsucker. This large, woodpecker-like creature is highly protective of her offspring and can be encountered shortly after leaving the ship.
Primarily located on the planet Adamance, the Sapsucker can be found guarding her nest or scavenging for food in nearby trees. This monster will not engage unless provoked, meaning she remains harmless as long as her family is left undisturbed.
In addition, a new log titled «Team Synergy» for Sigurd’s storyline has been introduced on Artifice, one of the popular moons featured in Lethal Company. This new lore introduces fresh elements to discover. Future updates will randomize the appearance of these logs within the interiors of maps instead of ensuring they spawn on specific moons.
Additionally, several new items have been added to the ship’s terminal, including a fridge, a sofa chair, a dog house, a microwave, and an electric chair. These will be randomly available in the terminal store, and players can use the fridge to store scrap, allowing for more organized inventory management.
Updated Content
The ship’s monitor has undergone a significant redesign. Players can now view the face cam of the character they are watching, along with improved visuals of the terrain and enemy positions, as well as a compass for better navigation. This enhancement will facilitate more effective communication using Walkie-Talkies.
The Radar Booster has also received upgrades, now providing a clearer view of surroundings within Facility interiors. The updated monitor features 2D sprites to reduce visual noise and clearly indicate the locations of items, enemies, and locked doors. Overall, the layout and visibility of rooms have been greatly improved.
Similar to the game R.E.P.O., players can now easily trace their route back to the Main Entrance using the compass located at the bottom-right corner of the screen. This feature is especially useful for teams where someone remains on the ship for communication purposes.
The Mansion interior has received enhancements as well, introducing eight new rooms and hallways, along with cabinets for better accessibility. The height of the mansion has been adjusted for a more realistic scale, increasing the likelihood of non-linear layouts appearing within this facility type.
Various minor bugs have been fixed, and the Company Cruiser has been updated for better performance. The vehicle can now navigate around obstacles more effectively and maintains an upright position during travel. It also experiences a slight speed increase when shifting gears.
