In the ever-evolving world of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the iconic Pack-A-Punch machine continues to play a crucial role in the Zombies mode, providing players with the opportunity to enhance their weapons for increased damage, a necessity as rounds progress. This time around, on the Ashes of the Damned map, players will find that accessing this vital upgrade differs slightly from previous iterations in the franchise.
Unlocking the Pack-A-Punch on Ashes of the Damned involves a unique step linked to a vehicle known as Ol’ Tessie. This truck not only serves as a mode of transport around the expansive map but is also your gateway to activating the Pack-A-Punch feature. To initiate the process, players must follow a series of main objectives leading them to a location called Ashwood.
The journey begins with the installation of T.E.D.D.’s head onto Ol’ Tessie. To procure the head, players must first enter the server room, which requires an expenditure of 1,250 Essence. After accessing the room, they will need to melee a grate on the ground to retrieve T.E.D.D.’s head. Once obtained, it is a simple matter of carrying this head back to the truck and interacting with it.
With T.E.D.D.’s head securely attached, players can then choose to head either left towards Blackwater Lake or right to Vandorn Farm. The direction taken hinges on personal preference for early perk acquisition, but players must focus on restoring power at either location. This entails eliminating all infestation spores within a brief 30-second window to clear the Power Pump. After fulfilling this task, an additional fee of 1,750 Essence is required to unlock the door leading to the power switch, which must then be flipped to ensure the power is restored.
The next target is Ashwood, where players must replicate their previous task. This Power Pump is situated at the top of the area, necessitating the use of ziplines to scale upward. An investment of 2,750 Essence is mandatory to clear the way to the pump. Once there, players must exterminate any roaming zombies, eliminate the infestation, and activate the nearby switch.
Finally, it’s time to install the Pack-A-Punch machine onto Ol’ Tessie. This step requires players to drive the vehicle into a now-open garage located near the ziplines. Inside, they will find the Pack-A-Punch machine resting on a workbench. A simple interaction will secure the machine at the back of the truck, completing the installation process.
Now, with the Pack-A-Punch at their disposal, players can enhance their weapons from the back of Ol’ Tessie, offering convenience irrespective of their location in the map. However, it’s important to remember that if players utilize jump pads for rapid travel, Ol’ Tessie will remain stationary at its last parked spot.
As an added bonus, the installation of the Pack-A-Punch also grants players a boost capability when driving Ol’ Tessie. This enhancement will surely aid many as they navigate through the challenges presented in Black Ops 7.
