Establishing a robust foundation is a key aspect of Dune Awakening, making it one of the initial tasks for players. As you advance through the game, you’ll gain access to larger vehicles such as the Buggy and Ornithopters, which cannot pass through standard doors. At this juncture, you’ll need to invest in Pentashields to create appropriate entryways for these larger transports and safeguard them against sandstorms. Below is a guide on how to craft and implement them within your base.

Unlocking Pentashields in Dune Awakening

To set up Pentashields in your base, you first need to unlock their schematics via the Research menu within Dune Awakening. You can only access these schematics once you reach the steel equipment tier, typically when you venture into the Eastern Vermilious Gap region.

After unlocking the Pentashields, you will be able to craft them using the construction tool. There are three distinct types of Pentashields available in Dune: Awakening.

• Pentashield Surface Vertical
• Pentashield Surface Horizontal
• Prudence Door

Installing Pentashields in Your Base

Before you can set up a Pentashield in your base, you must gather the necessary materials in Dune: Awakening. Below is a list of materials needed to build Pentashields.

Once you have collected the needed materials, select either the vertical or horizontal Pentashield and place it in one corner of an entryway. After positioning it, drag the shield to the opposite corner of the entryway so that it fully covers the opening. Double-check its placement, then confirm your selection by investing the required materials, and finally, construct it in your base.

Pentashields function differently from regular doors and consume power based on the size of the entryway they cover. To view the power usage of a Pentashield, approach one of its corners and access its settings menu. Here, you can check the power consumption and manage access levels to control who can enter through it.
