Kazakhstani rifler Daulet «dako» Ondassynov has set a new Counter-Strike 2 record for the most kills recorded on a single map in regulation. The record-breaking performance came on Mirage during the third-place decider at the LAN tournament in Almaty. dako entered the second half with 23 kills and only six deaths, while the two teams were tied 6-6.
The Kazakhstani rifler continued to dominate after the break as Game Point moved into a 12-10 lead. dako eventually reached 40 kills during regulation, setting a new all-time CS2 record.
His performance surpassed the previous overall record held by Alex «poiii» Nyholm Sundgren, who recorded 39 kills against Zero Tenacity in an online match in September 2024. poiii had previously broken the CS2 regulation kill record with 39 frags.
dako also surpassed the previous LAN record held by Danil «donk» Kryshkovets. donk recorded 38 kills against Wildcard at ESL Pro League Season 20, setting what had remained the highest mark achieved on LAN.
Despite dako’s individual performance, Game Point were unable to close out Mirage in regulation. The match went to overtime, where the Kazakhstani added another two kills to finish the map with 42 kills and 17 deaths. However, only the first 40 count toward the regulation record.
Game Point eventually lost Mirage and then fell on the deciding map, missing out on third place at BRO Cyber League Season 1. dako nevertheless finished Mirage with a 2.43 HLTV Rating 3.0, 128.8 ADR and a 93.1% KAST.
The BRO Cyber League Season 1 match gave dako both the overall and LAN CS2 regulation kill records. His achievement also put him ahead of several established names in the historical ranking of the game’s highest single-map kill totals.
The new top three now consists of dako with 40 kills, poiii with 39 and donk with 38. donk remains one of the most prominent players to feature among CS2’s single-map kill record holders.
