Unlocking The Method To Shatter Blue Stones In Clair Obscur Expedition 33

In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players can discover various resources to enhance their party’s capabilities. Many items and Pictos can be discovered scattered across the terrain or dropped by formidable foes. By acquiring and mastering Pictos, transforming them into Lumina, players should aim to collect and master every Picto, allowing them to utilize Lumina later on.

However, certain items can be elusive, often concealed within Paint Spikes. These are large rock formations marked with blue lines, making them easily recognizable in any locale. Below is the guidance on how to obtain the skill Paint Break to shatter Paint Spikes.

How To Acquire Paint Break In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

The first step to breaking a Paint Spike is obtaining the Paint Break skill, which you can earn by locating four Lost Gestrals. These Lost Gestrals can be found throughout the continent, and interacting with them will prompt their return to Sastro at your camp. After successfully collecting and returning four Lost Gestrals to Sastro, you will receive the Paint Break skill. As you progress to Act 2 and gain the Esquie ability to swim through Corals, you’ll find ample Lost Gestrals to achieve this skill.

Locating Sastro

Sastro can be encountered at your camp, which is accessible at any time while exploring the overworld. Once in your camp, navigate past Esquie and take the path to the left of the one leading to the Curator. Proceed through the rocks, and when you spot some wooden crates and a white sheet, make a left. Sastro will be directly in front of you. Talk to him after returning the Lost Gestrals, and he will reward you for each one you bring back.

How To Utilize Paint Break In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Once you’ve acquired the Paint Break skill, it enhances your regular attack when you’re not in combat. To destroy a Paint Spike, bring it within range of your attack and execute it. The paint rock will shatter, often revealing a rare item at its center. Paint Spikes can be found in nearly every major area of the game, thus after embracing this skill, it’s advisable to return to earlier zones and dismantle any Paint Spikes to nab gear or Pictos, typically surpassing the quality of those available in that region.
