The iconic Summoner’s Rift is once again covered in a wintery layer of snow as the festive season approaches, and with it comes the latest patch for League of Legends, bringing a mix of surprises, enhancements, and a chilly aesthetic just in time for the holidays.
This final update of the year, Patch 25.24, introduces a series of careful adjustments aimed at balancing the game. Champions who have dominated the competitive scene are being toned down, while those who have struggled will receive well-deserved buffs.
As part of their regular schedule, League of Legends updates are typically released on Wednesdays, and this patch will be available on December 3, 2025. The pre-release changes will first appear on the Public Beta Environment (PBE) servers before going live for all players. The update is expected to roll out at different times across regions, including 3 PM CT in North America, 5 AM GMT in Europe West, and 8 AM KR in Korea.
Patch 25.24 may be a smaller update compared to others, but it packs a punch with numerous buffs and nerfs, alongside a variety of new skins to celebrate the end of the year. Players can look forward to skins inspired by pirates, including the likes of Sunken Shadows Nami and Victorious Draven, as well as festive additions such as Winter Wonder Zeri and Prestige Winterblessed Mel.
Several champions are set to benefit from buffs in this patch. Notably, Braum will see an increase in his base HP, making him more formidable. Similarly, Nasus and Sejuani will receive enhancements to their abilities, increasing their damage output and survivability. Other characters, including Swain and Viktor, will also enjoy health and shield boosts to help them in battles.
On the flip side, some champions will experience nerfs aimed at bringing balance back to the game. Dr. Mundo, Kayn, and Kha’Zix are among those facing reductions in their effectiveness. The changes include a decrease in damage potential and adjustments to health metrics, ensuring that these characters don’t overshadow others in the gameplay.
Additionally, there will be an adjustment to the rune system, specifically the Legends: Bloodline rune, which will see a slight increase in life steal, allowing players to recover more health as they accumulate stacks.
