Essential Steps to Conquer Ashes of the Damned in BO7 Zombies

The launch of the highly anticipated map for Black Ops 7 Zombies, known as «Ashes of the Damned,» introduces players to a sprawling environment teeming with undead danger. In this fresh installment, gamers will find themselves not only navigating through larger spaces but also facing even more formidable challenges within the eerie Dark Aether. To maximize your survival odds, a comprehensive guide is essential for venturing through this new map, detailing each step from the very first round to critical encounters, including the formidable Zursa bear.

Upon entering Ashes of the Damned, your initial focus should be on achieving Critical Kills by targeting zombies’ heads. This method grants 115 Essence per kill, significantly more than the standard 90 from regular eliminations. Once you’ve accumulated 1,250 Essence, make your way south from Janus Towers Plaza to access the Server Room. Inside, look for a grate in the southwest corner that reveals the head of T.E.D.D. A melee hit will unlock it, allowing you to transport it to Ol’ Tessie, the vehicle stationed outside. Activating Ol’ Tessie is crucial, as this vehicle serves as your lifeline throughout the map.

After securing Ol’ Tessie, its driver’s seat awaits your command. Head east of Janus Towers Plaza, pushing through wooden barriers to reach Vandorn Farm. This region is a prime spot for farming kills due to its spacious terrain, but drive carefully; the misty paths will spawn hordes of zombies. Utilize the glowing green Dark Aether plants for essential healing and resource gathering. Upon arriving at Vandorn Farm, locate the Power Pump on the north side and shoot all the glowing bulbs within 30 seconds to activate it. Following this, open the Barn for 1,750 Essence to gain access to perks. It’s wise to remain here for several rounds, building your Essence and acquiring Tier 2 Armor for 4,000 Essence, which bolsters your defenses against the relentless undead.

By Round 7, you should be heading towards Ashwood, a location critical for upgrades. Navigate through the newly opened gate to the Grounded Ship and onto Ashwood, parking Ol’ Tessie outside the locked garage. Utilize the zipline to access higher levels and unlock essential areas like Market Square and Judgement Square for more perks and resources. Once you have activated another Power Pump at Ashwood Bridge, return to the garage to park Ol’ Tessie and access the Pack-a-Punch Machine for weapon enhancements.

As you continue to progress, it’s time to invest your Essence in upgrades while focusing on durability and firepower. After acquiring Tier 2 Armor, upgrade your primary weapon at the Pack-a-Punch station with 5,000 Essence, significantly boosting its effectiveness. Elevate your weapon further by investing 500 Salvage at The Arsenal for an Uncommon Tier Upgrade. With the game around Round 8 or 9, you should be equipped with a powerful weapon and sturdy armor, ready for the next challenges.

Before leaving Ashwood, ensure you collect vital perks such as Jugger-Nog for health boosts and, optionally, Vulture Aid for enhanced loot drops from defeated zombies. With a solid perk foundation and ample Essence, venture southwest toward Exit 115, an area designed for maximizing kills. Open McDougal’s Service Station to acquire the Deadshot Daiquiri Perk, which will aid in precision and damage. Aim to collect 10,000 Essence to upgrade to Tier 3 Armor, ensuring you can withstand greater assaults from zombies.

After enhancing your gear, return to Ashwood and navigate northwest to Blackwater Lake, another critical zone featuring a Power Pump. Inside the cabin, for 1,750 Essence, you can purchase Speed Cola, further increasing your efficiency in reloading and armor management. Conclude your essential upgrades by getting Quick Revive at Janus Towers Plaza to ensure faster health regeneration.

As the game progresses, you will encounter objectives related to T.E.D.D. Completing these tasks not only rewards you with valuable resources but also provides additional perks at no cost. Make your way back to Vandorn Farm to acquire the Napalm Burst ammo mod, which is particularly effective against tougher enemies, including the Zursa – a deadly bear-like zombie that will emerge in Round 16. With your enhanced weapon and equipment in hand, prepare for the onslaught, focusing on headshots and weak points for maximum effectiveness.

Now, the objective is clear: continue gathering Essence to unlock more perks around the map and strive to elevate your weapon’s rarity through Salvage. The battle against the undead is only just beginning, and every upgrade counts in the relentless fight for survival in the unforgiving world of Ashes of the Damned.
