One of the most effective methods for quickly leveling up a Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is utilizing the Lucky Egg, an item that doubles the experience points gained by the Pokémon that is holding it, provided it is part of the active party.
<p Trainers eager to boost the level of a lower-leveled party member will seek out the Lucky Egg to facilitate this process. Although Rare Candies and EXP. Candies can provide faster results, they are available in limited amounts, making mass usage impractical.
Acquiring the Lucky Egg in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
The Lucky Egg can be obtained by completing Side Mission 109: Wondrous Self-Healing Pokémon within Pokémon Legends: Z-A. This side mission becomes accessible only after players have completed Main Mission 37: Operation Protect Lumiose and have progressed into the post-game phase.
After saving Lumiose City from the surge of Mega Power from the Prism Tower with Zygarde’s assistance, Main Mission 38: The Infinite Z-A Royale will open up, alongside various new side missions scattered around the city, including this one. To initiate Side Mission 109, visit the Vert Pokémon Center, located directly south of Wild Zone 17.
Completing Side Mission 109 for the Lucky Egg in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Begin the quest by speaking to Pokémon Center Clerk Bien, who can be found behind the counter. She will challenge the player to a battle against her team of self-healing Pokémon. To commence the challenge, talk to her again and select «I want to battle you.»
Bien’s team consists of Heliolisk, Clefable, Roserade, and Avalugg. Defeating all four Pokémon will complete the mission.
Afterward, Bien will return to the Pokémon Center to heal her Pokémon and will reward the player with the following:

- Lucky Egg x1
- Full Restore x5
- Max Revive x2
Utilizing the Lucky Egg in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
After acquiring a Lucky Egg, it will be found in the «Other Items» section. Follow these steps to use it:
- Place the Pokémon you wish to level up quickly in your active party.
- Locate the Lucky Egg under «Other Items» in your Satchel.
- Press A and select «Give to Pokémon.»
- Choose the Pokémon in your party to give it the Lucky Egg by pressing A again.
With the Lucky Egg equipped as a Held Item, that Pokémon will gain double the experience points from every battle. Even if it does not directly participate, it will still earn 2x shared experience simply for being in the main party, yielding nearly the equivalent experience as if it had dealt the final blow.
The Lucky Egg does not augment the experience earned through the use of EXP. Candy.
