Following the draw for the Swiss Stage at Worlds 2025, fans were eager to witness the showdown between these two powerhouse teams representing the best from their regions on the global stage. During their last encounter at MSI 2025, FlyQuest had a convincing win over G2 Esports, eliminating them from the tournament, which made G2 even more determined to turn the outcome around.

After the disappointing defeat, Inspired expressed that FlyQuest had been «impatient» in their approach during the match. With G2 now advancing to the Knockout rounds, FlyQuest will have one last opportunity in the 2-2 bracket to secure their place in Shanghai or face elimination.
