Modifying Daytime in Ghost of Yotei

The narrative of Ghost of Yotei unfolds in a vivid and dynamic universe. While the game does not feature varying seasons akin to those in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it incorporates a day-night cycle that significantly influences the execution of certain tasks and side missions.

In fact, there are occasions when specific quests can only be undertaken at night, making it crucial for players to know how to adjust the time of day in Ghost of Yotei. Fortunately, the method for doing this is quite simple, requiring just a few button presses.

How to Adjust the Time of Day in Ghost of Yotei

To modify the time of day, players need to visit a campsite and choose to sleep. They can either go to an established campsite or create a new one by pressing left on the D-pad while in an open area of the map. Once at a campsite, selecting the Sleep option will let them rest until morning or until night. Alternatively, players can wait for the time of day to shift naturally.

There are certain regions where changing the time of day is not possible, including the iconic Mount Yotei. If players attempt to fast travel to these areas during the night, the game will automatically switch back to daytime.

When to Switch to Nighttime in Ghost of Tsushima

There are various Ghost of Yotei bounties that necessitate players to explore areas after dark, but those are not the sole instances when it’s advantageous to alter the time of day. For players who prefer a stealthy strategy, capturing Yotei 6 camps can be significantly more manageable under the cover of darkness. Thus, taking a moment to transition to night before sneaking in can be worthwhile. On the other hand, navigating the map is typically easier and more visually stunning during daylight, making it beneficial to sleep until morning at times.
