Maximize Your Abilities in Black Ops 7 by Implementing These Controller Adjustments

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 unveils exciting new features and mechanics, necessitating adjustments to your controller settings to keep pace with the rapid action. While the controller settings interface resembles that of Black Ops 6, there are important distinctions to note.

Although Black Ops 7 does not fully embrace jetpacks and jumping enhancers, players can execute wall jumps to access different areas and surprise adversaries during encounters. This addition, alongside adjusted omnimovement from Black Ops 6, adds depth to gameplay. Here are the top controller settings for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Optimal Controller Settings for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

To alter your Black Ops 7 controls and aiming preferences, navigate to the settings menu and proceed to the controller section.

Ensure that your aiming input device is configured to controller when playing on PC. Otherwise, you may find yourself using a mouse at the start of matches.

The first adjustment is to the Button Layout. Many players opt for the Tactical setting, which switches the melee and crouch buttons, allowing for easier sliding and diving without taking your thumb off the right analog stick. If you’re using a DualSense Edge, Xbox Elite Series 2, or another high-end controller equipped with paddles, you can retain the default Button Layout.

Under the Controller tab, modify your Horizontal Stick Sensitivity and Vertical Stick Sensitivity to 1.50. Though sensitivity is subjective, these settings generally outshine the defaults. Experiment with different values until you discover what feels best for you.

Next, adjust your Deadzone Inputs. Set both Left Stick Min and Right Stick Min to 1 for a more responsive aiming experience. Be aware that stick drift is common in many controllers, so you might need to increase the minimum deadzone if your controller behaves erratically. Test various settings in the firing range until you find one that suits you.

Furthermore, lower your Left Trigger and Right Trigger deadzones to 5 or below to enhance trigger sensitivity, allowing your weapon to fire with minimal pressure. Those milliseconds can be crucial during combat.

In the Aiming tab, access the Aiming Advanced Settings section and set the ADS Sensitivity Transition Timing to Gradual. This adjustment allows for a smoother transition between hipfire and ADS sensitivity configurations.

Changing your Aim Response Curve Type to Dynamic is also recommended, but this ultimately depends on your personal preference.

For Movement settings, it’s advisable to disable Corner Slice. While it adds a cool visual element, it can disrupt your aim at corners. If you’re having trouble executing wall jumps during skirmishes, enable Wall Jump Assist, starting with Sideways Only. While in the Movement settings, change Slide/Dive Behavior to Tap to Slide and set Slide/Dive Activation Delay to Short.

With these modifications, you’ll find aiming in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 significantly easier. The revamped movement mechanics ramp up the pace compared to Black Ops 6, making precise aiming settings critical. Once your settings are optimized, you’ll be ready to tackle the best Black Ops 7 weapons and their attachments.
