Survivalist Caches represent the inaugural collection of collectibles that players can discover throughout Kairos, all situated within the Fadefields. In Borderlands 4, there are 10 Survivalist Caches. Accessing these caches is straightforward–simply interact with the box to kick it open and receive a variety of random weapons and gear, along with SDU Tokens. However, locating them can be quite the challenge. While the majority of the caches are hidden in various points of interest (POIs), some require more effort to uncover. To assist you, we’ve compiled a list of their locations and walkthroughs to help you find each Survivalist Cache in Borderlands 4 without difficulty.
Each Survivalist Cache provides 10 SDU Tokens, and upon collecting all 10, players will be awarded the Never Say DIY Weapon Skin as a reward from the Cache to Spend Challenge.
How to Locate the Coastal Bonescape Survivalist Cache #1 in Borderlands 4

From the first Safehouse, the Abandoned Outpost in the Coastal Bonescape, take a sharp right and head east. Continue until you reach the Haywire Shire POI. This small campsite is teeming with Rippers, but feel free to bypass them. Move to the south side of the house and look above on the hill to locate the Survivalist Cache.

Again, starting from the Abandoned Post Safehouse in Coastal Bonescape, exit the main entrance and head west through the woods, passing the Pool of Re-Flex-tion. You will come across another Ripper outpost, where the Survivalist Cache is situated inside a dilapidated bridge structure. Players can use the tractor to reach the floorboards that lead up to the roof to access the cache.

Proceed west from the Abandoned Post Safehouse towards Harper’s Hideaway. From this POI, continue west until the land meets the sea, reaching the Sarrett’s Jetty POI. Positioned in front of the wrecked ship, facing west, is the Survivalist Cache that players can now access, alongside a few hostile Rippers that can be ignored.

For this Survivalist Cache, begin at the Launchpad, the Faction Town where the Outbounders reside. Exit the Fast Travel bunker to ground level and move immediately to the west, where you will encounter the Gushing Turret. At this POI, look westward at the Gushing Turret along the clear-running water to spot two sewer grates; the grate on the right can be accessed. Slide into the open one, swim to the surface, and the Survivalist Cache will be in the first room to your right.

Travel northwest from either the Launchpad or The Kit Hole Order Silo in The Howl region to reach a forest obstructed by a rock wall blocking the way to the Survivalist Cache. Stay close to the cliff wall and proceed to the northwestern corner, where you will find an opening in the wall to enter. Beyond this entrance is a Thresher cave; follow the path north and loop to the left using a grapple point to gain higher ground. From this elevated area, move south to find a Red Chest, then jump past it to the right to discover the Survivalist Cache.

Beginning at the Rootdown Estates Fast Travel Station in The Howl, players should exit through the gap in the wall and head northeast to locate Ripper structures near the cave’s edge. Climb the wall adjacent to this structure to enter the cave, where you will need to eliminate all Rippers present. Once the last Ripper is down, the door at the southeast corner of the cave will unlock, granting access to the Survivalist Cache located directly opposite the now-accessible Red Chest.

In the Fadefields region known as Idolator’s Noose, players can find the next Survivalist Cache. Start at the Someday Rise Safehouse, exit through the front door, and head south, bypassing the grapple point. Continue across the mountain path until you encounter a campsite, where the Survivalist Cache awaits.

Travel to the far southwestern area of Idolator’s Noose until you reach Racketrun, a POI swarming with Rippers. At the back of Racketrun, players will find a climbable wall. Once atop, proceed left into a small shack where this Survivalist Cache is hidden.

Location of Survivalist Cache #9
This Survivalist Cache can be found in the southeast region of Idolator’s Noose. We started our excursion from the Wyclef’s Reprise Safehouse, positioned at the edge of the Dissected Plateau bordering Idolator’s Noose. Exit through the northern doors, then loop around south and descend into the swamp. This path will lead you to the Boglight Vigilance POI, where you should follow the road through Ripper territory towards the back. At the rear of this POI lies a crashed Order ship, which contains a Survivalist Cache within its confines.
How to Locate the Dissected Plateau Survivalist Cache #1 in Borderlands 4

Navigate to the Deep Seven Order Silo in the Dissected Plateau. From there, drop down to the south and head east for a short distance until you spot an abandoned farm. With the Survivalist Cache icon marked on your map, move east of this icon to find a small hole with a sewer grate that has an opening. Enter through the grate and slide through to reach the Survivalist Cache inside.
