In Hollow Knight: Silksong, players can discover a total of seven crests, but only six of them are obtainable during the first two acts of the game. The final crest, considered the top-tier one, is known as the Shaman Crest. This crest is available only in Act 3 and requires players to first unlock the Silk Soar ability found in the depths of The Abyss.

The Shaman Crest is incredibly powerful because it enables players to equip up to three different Silk Skills simultaneously, significantly enhancing their damage output against bosses. When combined with tools like the Volt Filament, its effectiveness is amplified even further.

How to Obtain the Shaman Crest in Hollow Knight: Silksong

To acquire the Shaman Crest, players must have already unlocked Hornet’s Silk Soar ability. Once that is completed, they need to navigate to the Bone Bottom Bellway and proceed left until they reach a hole illuminated by a ray of light. After descending into the hole, the next step is to enter the Ruined Chapel through the doorway on the left.

While in the Ruined Chapel, players should move to the far right and stand in front of the lore marker. To use Silk Soar, hold down the button together with the harpoon action (S on PC, L2 on PlayStation, LT on Xbox, or L on Switch). This action will allow Hornet to propel herself through the ceiling above, leading her to proceed right. Players must follow the path while ensuring they destroy three breakable walls using slash attacks encountered along the way.

Eventually, players will find themselves in an area with a ruined statue. Standing before this statue, they should hold down to claim the Shaman Crest, followed by rapidly pressing the Bind button a few times to complete the unlock process. Initially, it provides three white slots, but players can expand to two blue slots using Memory Lockets. Additionally, they can obtain a yellow slot and one more blue slot by acquiring the two Vesticrests from Eva in Weavenest Atla if they haven’t done so yet.
