Fnatic’s jungler, Razork, recently shared insights regarding the team’s roster adjustments ahead of the LEC Summer Split 2025. He revealed that the choice to let go of mid laner Humanoid came after the team felt they had reached a plateau in their progress.
«I have a lot of affection for Humanoid, but I believed a change was necessary since we weren’t achieving success together. It wasn’t that we were burnt out, but rather it seemed like we could not improve any further. We felt a bit stagnant,» Razork stated in a conversation with Sheep Esports. «In my opinion, a fresh approach was required, and Fnatic opted to modify the mid lane position.»
The jungler emphasized that the decision was not solely based on Humanoid’s performance. He revealed that he was also at risk of being substituted and that the ultimate decision lay with the team’s management. «It could easily have been me as well,» he remarked, emphasizing that the changes were aimed at revitalizing the team rather than singling out one player.
When confronted with the notion of Humanoid being made a scapegoat, Razork rejected the idea that he was solely to blame. He explained that while certain players may have off days, the losses should be regarded as a collective responsibility, noting that fans often search for someone to blame regardless of the circumstances. Regarding Humanoid, he acknowledged that criticism sometimes exceeded reasonable boundaries but praised him as one of Europe’s finest mid laners, even placing him among the top two in the region during the interview.
Humanoid joined Fnatic in late 2021, coming from MAD Lions after achieving consecutive LEC titles. Throughout his tenure with Fnatic, he aided in securing two qualifications for the Worlds and reached numerous domestic finals, although the team never managed to capture a trophy.
Fnatic has now replaced Humanoid with T1 sensation Poby, who is embarking on his first LEC Split with the organization. The team will face GIANTX in the lower brackets on September 15, with hopes of making a significant run and qualifying as the third seed for Worlds 2025.
