Aside from pouring Chroma into the fountain, there aren’t many other activities in the Red Wood, yet despite a danger warning when entering, you can do this anytime. It’s advisable to collect 90,000 to pour all at once, irrespective of your progress in the game. Chroma can be contributed in specific amounts, and you must reach the total amount to obtain rewards. The increments for Chroma pouring are:
- 5,000 Chroma
- 10,000 Chroma
- 25,000 Chroma
- 50,000 Chroma
After pouring in the final 50,000, Benisseur will appear, expressing gratitude for waking him and rewarding you with the Recovery Picto. Benisseur will remain awake, allowing you to converse with him and challenge him to a duel whenever desired.
Should You Defeat Benisseur in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?
It’s advisable to confront Benisseur once you have the opportunity, regardless of your level. This battle is primarily a gimmick, and you only need to focus on surviving instead of inflicting damage and defeating him. Benisseur has one attack: a bubble assault, which he launches seven times. During your turn, prioritize healing yourself and restoring allies when necessary. Despite the potential damage from Benisseur, this encounter can be successfully handled at any level if you master dodging or countering.
With each attack, Benisseur will unleash fewer bubbles, and after the seventh strike, he will simply fall, concluding the encounter. The benefits of defeating Benisseur include:
