Fortnite: A Guide to Unlocking the Hidden Cave at Canyon Crossing

Fortnite has launched a new season titled Galactic Battle, marking a thrilling return to the universe of Star Wars. The iconic franchise is once again part of Fortnite, introducing an array of Star Wars characters in the Battle Pass, fresh Points of Interest (POIs), and an assortment of weapons inspired by the beloved series, including powerful blasters and Lightsabers. Players can expect a wealth of new content with the season’s debut, along with additional features to follow.

This season not only allows players to harness incredible Force abilities and pilot iconic ships like X-Wings and TIE Fighters, but it also invites them to uncover hidden secrets. One such secret is located near Brutal Boxcars, with another discovery waiting at Canyon Crossing. Here’s a guide on how to locate and access the secret cave at Canyon Crossing in Fortnite.

How To Unlock The Secret Cave At Canyon Crossing In Fortnite

The secret cave can be found along the cliff to the left of the waterfall, which is situated east of Canyon Crossing. Players will notice large boulders obstructing the entrance, making it somewhat discernible yet still easy to miss if they’re not specifically on the lookout.

To get to this location, players have a couple of choices. They can either land directly at the cave from the Battle Bus at the game’s start or make their way there later after securing loot from a nearby POI. There are ascenders both above and below the cave for those opting to travel to it later.

At the entrance, players simply need to use their pickaxe to remove the boulders blocking the entrance, which can be done in just a few swings.

Inside the secret cave, players will discover four chests and six Slurp Barrels, which are perfect for replenishing shields or health. While this location won’t yield game-changing loot like Rare Chests or Mythic items, the Slurp Barrels offer a reliable source for those wishing to save their healing items for later skirmishes.

This cave sits a bit off the beaten path and is infrequently contested, making it an ideal drop spot for solo players seeking to gear up without engaging in early-game conflicts directly from the Battle Bus. However, for teams aiming for the best loot, it might be wise to seek alternatives.
