How to Unlock Dash in Hollow Knight Silksong

To enable the Dash (Swift Step) in Hollow Knight Silksong, navigate to the Deep Docks region on the map. Proceed rightward through the middle area until you encounter solidified lava on the ground. This lava behaves differently than typical lava, as stepping on it will result in an instant defeat.

While you can traverse the solidified lava by jumping, prolonged standing will lead to burning damage and eventual death, so it’s vital to keep leaping. Use this lava to advance to the end and leap up several platforms to discover a glowing yellow explosive rock. Quickly retreat after hitting it to trigger a blast, which will clear the path for upward movement.

Afterward, continue to the west until you reach a platform. This area is reminiscent of where you unlock the Silkspear ability, allowing you to connect your needle and acquire the dash skill for the remainder of the game.
