Unlocking and Utilizing Iron Commander in Destiny Rising

In every gacha game, players often encounter expeditions that enable characters to passively gather rewards. In Destiny: Rising, this manifests as Iron Commander, allowing players to receive loot from most core activities without direct involvement.

Here’s a comprehensive guide on Iron Commander in Destiny: Rising and its potential benefits.

How to Unlock Iron Commander in Destiny Rising

You’re not in control this time.

Iron Commander becomes available around the fifth chapter. Progress through the main storyline and complete Handbook objectives to access it alongside other key features. Upon finishing the campaign and achieving Acclaim, players can unlock additional bonuses for Iron Commander, which include extra daily uses and reduced completion times.

How to Use Iron Commander in Destiny Rising

Gather your team.

Iron Commander features a specific node adjacent to Adventure in the activity menu. To send a fireteam, you will require an Ops Authorization token. Initially, before receiving Acclaim bonuses, players can purchase one token per day for 20 Pinnacle Energy located in the top right corner of the screen.

Once you have the Ops Authorization token, select an activity for which you’d like to earn rewards. However, it’s necessary to have already completed the activity in normal mode beforehand. Choose three characters (which will still be accessible) and dispatch them.

There are three reward tiers for any Iron Commander operation. Achieving higher tiers requires meeting the total Power requirements of the fireteam. For instance, Strikes on Heroic difficulty necessitate a combined Power of 117,400 to secure the best rewards.

Is Iron Commander Worth Using in Destiny Rising?

Aim for the Abundant tier.

At the Abundant reward tier, utilizing Iron Commander for activities provides slightly enhanced rewards. At Reward Level seven, the Abundant tier has the potential to yield up to two Exotic weapons from the Heroic Strike, compared to just one when completed traditionally. Additionally, players might receive up to two extra Mythic weapons along with increased quantities of other rewards. While the base drop rates remain unchanged, there’s still a possibility of acquiring greater loot for the same amount of Pinnacle Energy invested.
