How to Obtain the Key to Vaas’ Office in Hell Is Us: The Captain’s Office Puzzle
As mentioned, you can find a soldier perched on a picnic bench near the blacksmith in Jova. Engage him in conversation, and he’ll reveal that he possesses the key to Vaas’ office (located in a building marked by a flag near where a musician is playing on the back of a truck). He agrees to part with the key in exchange for some more alcohol. You will need to gather some booze from a house in Jova, as well as mead from a structure in Lake Cynon.
Acquiring the Moonshine
Start by heading to the house located behind the well in Jova. There is graffiti reading ‘Sabinian Family Tree’ next to the front door. To the right of the entrance, you will see some pallets leading up to a balcony. You can enter through this door.
Once you are inside, venture downstairs and interact with the shiny object on the refrigerator to obtain a bottle of moonshine.
Return to the soldier with the moonshine, and he will thank you and offer you some consumables in return. However, he will express his desire for a full bottle of mead instead.
How to Acquire Mead in Hell Is Us
To find mead, you’ll need to wait until Rebecca and Jaffer reach Lake Cynon. Once they do, locate them in a building on the far side of the area from your APC parking spot. You’ll recognize the site by the bees buzzing around it, and Jaffer can be found outside. Next to him, there is a bottle of mead sitting atop a barrel.
