After an unexpected and challenging initial season in the LEC, the players of NAVI have taken to social media and conducted interviews to express their critical views on the 2025 Summer Split’s compressed calendar, attributing their struggles to the lack of time to develop team cohesion with their new lineup.

«We hardly competed in any official matches, only four best-of-three series during the group stage. This setup is quite detrimental for newer rosters like ours, especially since we’ve undergone significant changes since the last Split. We needed more time to gain experience and improve, but the format didn’t allow us that opportunity,» remarked Hans SamD in an interview with Sheep Esports. «Our [League] roster is solid, but we simply didn’t get enough time to play together, unlike many of the other teams. We only had around two or three weeks of scrimmages before being thrust into official matches,» added the ADC.

Other NAVI team members, including veteran mid laner Larssen, mentioned on X (formerly Twitter) that their Split came to a conclusion abruptly after just three best-of-three series, leaving them with no chance to compete in tiebreakers. Rookie jungler Thayger also shared his frustration regarding the team’s swift elimination from the tournament without sufficient time to address their errors.

Having taken over Rogue’s position in the LEC, NAVI retained essential players such as Adam, Larssen, and Malrang while incorporating new talent to enhance their performance. Although this change did not yield immediate results in this Split, it does not necessarily indicate failure, considering the team only had four on-stage matches to showcase their capabilities with the new additions.

Fans have expressed their confusion regarding the LEC schedule as well. The game developer may consider revisions for next year if the current scheduling creates difficulties for fans and new teams as they try to settle into the season.

As NAVI prepares to face GIANTX for their last match of the Split, with their playoff aspirations already dashed, the team is confronted with more pressing concerns as they look ahead to the next year.
