The Detour badge in Roblox Doors is crucial for players wanting to keep accessing the outdoor sublevel, as this area will soon be eliminated from the free map selection.
Recently, Roblox introduced the Outdoors expansion, which players can explore for free if they dare to face some eerie characters. The expansion features numerous new monsters, alongside a few benevolent ones. If you wish to secure a permanent unlock for the subfloor after August 25, 2025, here’s how to do it.
How to Acquire the Detour Badge in Roblox Doors
To earn the Detour badge, enter the elevator in the Roblox Doors Hotel map and start opening doors while avoiding entering entities. As you progress, don’t forget to check cabinets and vacant rooms for coins, which you’ll need to obtain the badge.
Upon reaching door 60, you will find Jeff’s shop that sells five random items. You need to purchase the Skull key for 300 coins here. If the Skull key isn’t available in your run, you will have to restart your hotel run and hope to find it on your next attempt.
After acquiring the Skull Key, proceed to Door 90, which leads to the Courtyard. Once outside, look for a narrow toolshed where you can find shears. Use these shears to cut through the nearby vines.
Once you have cut the vines, enter and use the Skull Key on the door marked with the Skull icon. This will conclude your hotel run, and you will unlock permanent access to the Outdoors. You can then either continue exploring the Outdoors map or attempt the hotel run again. You’ll also unlock the Detour badge, which grants you ongoing access to the Outdoors.
The Detour badge previously allowed you access to another subfloor; it now provides exclusive entry to the Outdoors.
